We checked this bridge out last weekend, and found it manageable. However, though named "The Hennepin Avenue Bridge", we found that it actually crosses the Mississippi River (a decidedly pleasant bonus).

Update: After crossing this bridge over 5 times within the past year, I can confidently say "this bridge is still here". Unlike certain local establishments (cough Nye's), I think we'll be experiencing H.A.Bridge's breathtaking wonder for...

Okay, if you are into bridges, this is a beautiful bridge. If you are into fishing, North side is cool, watch out for needles and of course old hooks. Probably south of the damn is best though, big bass and walleye! (At least from what I have seen on YouTube, I suck at fishing) Definitely watch out for needles further down the river, that's the direction all the...

A grand bridge amongst many others across the Mississippi River, built in 1990 is the fourth bridge over the same spot ,and has concrete arches, wide walkways, cyclist lanes and four lanes for motor vehicles. This old suspension bridge first opened in 1855, over the Mississippi River. Nowadays it’s for both auto and pedestrians. The river banks remind me of Frankfurt, with even less spots for sit down. Maybe this is better, the river seems tranquil, wihout so many boats for hire. Grain Belt Beer sign is still up there.
