Just give it a try! You’ve got this!! I am way too delayed in posting a review for the workout that became a community for me! I’ve been going for almost a year, ~80 classes so far. The owner Nikki is the warm, genuine, badass that you would dream for when you step into a new workout facility for the first time (especially when you have nerves and imposter syndrome up to your ears)! She is welcoming and treats you like an important human every time you walk through the door (or an important pup if you are at the front door for a treat). Way too many positives so here is running list: - first workout community I’ve actually stayed with and look forward to attending after travel - Nikki is always listening to the people (lol) by adding new class types (strength, cardio, etc) by offering ‘community’ $10 rates to try new types of styles while instructors are getting new certifications, sending quarterly surveys to get new feedback on class schedule timing (and actually makes updates based on feedback!!) - great music, great class arcs (start in center slow, progressively add more intensity, cardio verse, cool down) where you can dial it up and dial it down easily based on how you’re feeling (I really take advantage of this based on how my menstrual cycle impacts my energy and stamina) - Always clean towels, facility, bathrooms and showers, coffee ready in back for anyone, available weights for your day’s preference - ADHD friendly for me - constant movement and proactive instruction + tempo/timing - mix of moves I know and am confident in with brand new exercises that give me that novelty dopamine hit + jokes and moments of noticing things outside lol but focusing back in on intention (especially with Michelle and Maura who I take most classes with but also the others as well!) - I never feel like I’m being sold to purchase more (I am biased because I locked in a founders membership rate in the beginning, but still) merch or bigger packages etc even though beyond yoga merch is always top quality and cute - I think one way Nikki does this ^ well is by having actual interesting membership only events like friend speed dating and candlelit classes + community socials. These are genuine encouraging times for connection that happen to be aligned with getting an unlimited classes membership. - There are always new things like fun bingo cards, prompts to write on the white board walls, new challenges to encourage attendance and community - I love the online class membership for when I’m traveling. I’ve even got my 90 year old grandma to do it with me ❤️ she is able to adjust to her abilities! - I had major workout anxiety for over 10 years that kept me from fully engaging with a workout studio because of my own personal mental health and relationship with my body —> after many times trying alchemy, core power, lifetime, etc I did not feel connected or safe. The culture always included a sense of shame to over commit (via membership pressures, going beyond the limit of your body, being pushed beyond your comfort level) and I was always uncomfortable when owners/instructors knew your name but it felt like it was only to tell you that you missed a week of classes. AT BARRE 3 the culture is to LISTEN TO YOUR BODY, TAKE YOUR TIME & ADJUSTMENTS, DO YOU. - front desk ladies & instructors are intentional about greeting you, getting to know you, ensuring you have a spot in the class when class is super full (this can be scary for newcomers!) - Private class ahead of my destination wedding was so easy to schedule, I was able to request the instructors I attend the most, super personalized and thoughtful + included specific requests that I had for exercises, music and vibes! Nikki sent out clear email instructions and what to expect to all my new-to-barre friends!

This studio is such an amazing addition to the neighborhood. Not only is it a welcoming and empowering environment but the workout is spectacular. Unlike some other studios in the area it’s extremely accessible to all ages and body types. If you’re not feeling your best but want to show up and work, the instructors have your back. If you’re looking to get a thorough burn and intense workout, you’ll also be able to get that. I love seeing other women my age, and younger as well as women in their 50s and 60s just crushing it in class. So happy to be a member!

I have so much love for Barre3 Minneapolis! I have never stuck to a workout routine or studio this long (going on 2 years). The community here is unmatched and I feel supported and celebrated with everyday workouts and big milestones! Barre3 has also helped me heal my relationship with my body and how I view working out. I love the way my body feels energized and not broken down after a class. Cannot recommend more ❤️

The classes and instructors are incredible! I loved every class that I attended and feel like I got a great workout and enjoyed my time there. So- why the 1 star? Their customer service and online subscription management is terrible. I had an unlimited class membership for 6 months, and when I decided to move out of the area, I tried to cancel my membership as I wasn't going to be able to go to this location anymore. The catch - there is no way to mange your subscription online. I tried multiple times to cancel online, both through the app and the site, and there was no way to switch my membership even to a different kind of membership rather than just cancel. I tried calling multiple times (during business hours) with no response. I finally email them and ask them to cancel my membership that is supposed to end in two weeks (today is July 7th, membership was to renew July 19th) and was told that I had to give a month notice, so my membership would be renewed July 19th-August 18th. Like, what? There is nowhere on the website saying that you need a 30 day notice to change subscriptions because the website doesn't have any information on how to manage subscriptions at all. Was it in the super small, fine print when I signed my membership? Probably. But, the fact that they make it impossible to easily manage your subscription online and provide no information on how to do so, just feels like a trap. It makes it feel like you are locked into a membership with no way out, slimy like one of those gyms where they make it impossible to cancel your membership so you end up paying $25 a month until your credit card expires. I supposed I just expected better from a high end studio that charges $170 a month. If you choose to become a member here, just remember to read the fine print and maybe not sign up for a monthly...

It's surprising I haven't written a review for barre3 yet! Two words. Life changing. I have been going to barre3 almost daily for a year now (daily is not required, but that's how much I love it). The community that has been created by showing up for myself, the confidence that has been build, and let me tell you about the muscle, strength, and just overall health that has shaped me into a different human. The music gives you the energy you need to get through each class, along with the AMAZING INSTRUCTORS. I have so much love and respect for this group of women who work so hard to encourage every person who walks through the door. I am a lifer if...
