I stopped by here a couple of years ago during a visit to the Cities, and they couldn’t see me because I didn’t have an appointment. It’s a small shop—2 chairs—so that makes sense. He gave me his card, and I kept it for my next visit. I knew was coming back for another visit and called a month out. Turns out he wasn’t accepting new customers. I said I understood but had kept his card for years. He was touched and squeezed me in. I told him that wasn’t necessary, but he insisted. I came in, and he did an excellent job. He made me feel comfortable without talking my ear off, which is exactly the kind of experience I like. It was a no frills haircut, but that’s also what I wanted. I just moved into the neighborhood and wanted a nice haircut without paying exorbitant salon fees or risking a trendy cut that doesn't fit my identity at all.
