Store is very clean. Additionally, it offers a wide selection of organic foods & beverages. Underground parking is a plus. Consider entering parking lot from the south to avoid turning into two lanes of traffic. Parking lot is designed in 90 degree angles and can be somewhat challenging to maneuver around in. Drive slowly, carefully and assume that a family is behind you when backing up. Be nice. Avoid idling your vehicle when inside lot area. Bring a quarter for the cart rental. Service members are nice in general, but they do not seemingly go out of their way to assist customers. Apartments are above store whic is really an excellent idea. Customers tend to stick to themselves and seem serious. Other stores have a varied selection of products so you may need to ask managers about product availability. They do not carry tofu. Go down the way to the Wedge for that. Organic produce selection is relatively good/mid-sized. If you do not see products stocked that you are expecting, ask to speak with the manager and attempt to make formal request for it. The more customers who demand organic, free-range and non-generically modified foods the better. Uncertain how this store derives its electrical power. It would be nice if it supported renewable energy sources such as wind power and community solar for 100 to 125 % of its electricity needs. Finally, it would be nice if this and all Aldi's allowed customers to round up for organic farmers to support them. Also, having more locally grown produce would be a huge incentive to shop there. Close to Wesley Andrews which is nice if you are craving a matcha or coffee specialty beverage. Be respectful to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHi Aldi, pls donāt ever leave us, we love u here ⨠the only affordable groceries for normal ppl who canāt spend $21 on a block of cheese at Kowalski (with respect, they have a š„ rotisserie chicken).
Iām at this Aldi like twice a week a love it free parking is a bonus. I normally try to park on street to avoid the parking garage chaos but garage is not bad if youāre making a big grocery run or during non peak Lyndale Ave hours.
Never have waited more than 4 min line to check out. The staff here rock!
From an ethics standpoint: Aldi has fair trade and organic options for many items. Sustainable seafood options. Soon to be 100% only cage free eggs. They donāt use plastic bags. I hope they recycle all that cardboard they go thru. They have prices for working people. They donāt keep overstocked so they donāt have as much waste as the upscale grocers. I canāt speak on labor practices to be honest. Iām sure itās on par with other grocery chains (meaning, not great).
Though they will never be a local co op like, Iām happy to support Aldi out of any āfoodā chain in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give it MINUS TEN (-10) I would. This is by far THE WORST Aldi branch in the Twin Cities. Filthy, unorganized and almost ALWAYS have half stocked shelves. Many food items are opened, been used or eaten from, or have holes on their package. One of their cashiers is a very aggressive woman who saw me pick up some tossed receipts from the ground (I am a diagnosed OCD and was trying to clean out of habit) and this cashier yells at me in front of the people in line and threatens to report me as ātres passingā. My spouse tried to report her to the manager of the store but said manager is NEVER there and we have been to the store three times on different periods of the same day (explains the level of service and hygiene). I would NOT recommend this branch to anyone. If you bought something from this branch and got sick afterwards please know it is because of this store. I am emailing the main Aldi in UK about this too. They need to know that not all branches are representing...
