I have done and trained for sports most of my life. After joining Twintown Crossfit, I got into the best shape of my life. It is challenging, but the coaches make it great fun and are aware of your own challenges, limitations and goals, pushing you with all that in mind. I am always amazed they remember that for each one of us. FOUNDATIONS classes are offered on unlimited basis for the first 2 months and are the best way to get you ready to start the technical moves of crossfit. It gets your condition improved and core stronger while each class concentrates on different technical movement with the option of adding some weight and a full workout at the end, which will get you huffing and puffing guaranteed. Length of your foundations attendance is solely up to you, how fast you learn the moves, although scaling is always available to perfect the movements or accommodate special conditions. Coming in literally knowing nothing, and having been a very un-athletic individual up until that point in my life, I was nervous to dive into something with as crazy as a reputation as Crossfit. One of the coaches, Peter, communicated openly with me over email about this, and invited me to try a trial class. I had a blast, and the motivation the coaches provided helped me feel like this is something I could manage.
Two months later, and I'm feeling better then I ever have before. Seriously, worth it. Friendly coaches (my favorites are Peter, Matt, and Chris), space is well lit with warm lighting (why are so many OTHER gyms dim and dark?), and space/gear is really clean.

The workouts have great variety and are thoughtfully planned out. They offer Crossfit workouts, foundation classes for beginners, 45 minute aerobic workouts, barbell workouts, yoga, and workshops to concentrate on certain skills. Recently, TwinTown offered a program called BUILD for people trying to recover from chronic illnesses. Many people were interested in signing up, but being very sick is also very expensive, so the program didn't fill. Instead of giving up on the idea of helping people in need, they held a fundraiser that raised enough money for 5+ scholarships for people to attend this program.
