I have been going here for years which is why I'm giving an "honest" review. A pawn shop is a business that needs to make profit in order to continue the services specifically provided. How most pawn shops determine the value of an item is by going on Ebay and looking at the sold and finished auctions of the specific item. From that list each shop has a certain percentage that they are allowed to offer a customer or it would not be worth it to them. The way any business should speak to customers is with respect and these customers are the reason you are still in business. Word of mouth is the best advertisement. What if 90% of the customers they have decided not to go back. We'll they would be out of business and I think that some of the workers here forget that important aspect. I have had great experiences dealing with this business and unfortunately the bad are telling me not to go back. I have been spoken to disrespectfully a few times. Being a former Sergeant I'm very big on Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless-Service, Honorable, Integrity, and Personal Courage. That is an acronym of Leadership or the Army's way LDRSHIP. Different from a stereotypical pawn shop. I grew up not liking pawn shops. Honestly I thought they were seedy places who preyed on people. Until I walked into Family Jewelry and Pawn. They really care about their customers, which nowadays is lacking everywhere. They are really fair about their pricing and I have bought several things from them. Some new and some items that were sold to them. All were in clean and perfect working order. It’s nice to be able to get some items for cheaper to help out during the holidays. The staff is really friendly and some are funny and very helpful, especially because I know nothing about firearms. They are so patient and informative. I am really interested in their new CCW class they offer and heard some great stuff about it from others. Although I did not win the big raffle at their customer appreciation event this month, I am blown away at how much the owners give to their customers. Free food and entertainment and then there were huge free raffles and sales on items in the store. I heard they do it every year! Glad they changed my mind about Pawn Shops, well...at...

We are beyond excited and thrilled with our handgun purchases with FJP! This was my first handgun, and the sales associate, Brayden, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about what makes and models would work best for me as a CC gun. I found one that was absolutely perfect for me! My husband was also looking for a very specific make/model that, due to its popularity, isn’t always available in all shops. They not only had one, but it was an “XL” version that worked even better for my husband. They sell both refurbished and brand new firearms (all types). (We chose to purchase new ones).

Brayden assisted us from start to finish, taking care of all of the required steps, and everyone else in the store was also friendly and professional. They all helped to make the visit to the store and our purchase so enjoyable!
