My husband and I stopped in this store last night, on Saturday February 1st. About an hour before closing to look for an office chair and a desk. We had looked at 2 office chairs that were on sale for $89 that I really liked. During this time, there wasn’t any employees around offering any assistance or answering any questions. We walked around and looked at the desks and had 1 in mind we wanted to purchase. We then walked back over to the chairs, to decide which one we wanted. To our surprise, all of the price tags were gone. We stood there confused for a moment thinking we were looking at the wrong chairs because the $89 price tags were removed from all of the chairs! I turn around to then notice an employee who had a bag full of what appeared to be price tags. I asked her if she removed the the sale tags from those chairs, because at this point my husband and I were still confused, she then very rudely said: “yes, because the sale ends today” as i look at her with a blank look, because the day isnt over yet, she then says “they don’t pay me to stay after hours and take the sale tags down!” I was in disbelief at how rude this women was, and it was still a half hour before closing. I turned to my husband and said forget it, we will order something from amazon” The employee then tried to say we could still buy it, and i told her no thank you, that she was very rude and we would just go somewhere else. Read moreHorrible customer service. Nobody greeted me when I walked in. Went in to buy a printer and complete a printing job. I chose a printer and loaded it up into a cart. Then headed to the printing area. The associate was very rude. I asked if I could print my daughters passport pictures there. She looked at me and said “yes you can but you have do it yourself at the self serve station because I’m swamped.” Ok. Great. Had no idea how to do anything and she offered no explanation. I looked at her confused and said how do I use the machine? She then told me to email the photo to an email and follow the prompts. So I did that. Uploaded the photo and ran my debit card. Before hitting print, I asked a cashier if my photo will print on photo paper. He said he wasn’t sure and proceeded to ask another associate. She comes over and says yes you can print the photo. So I go ahead and print. It comes out on regular paper. Arg. So I’m super annoyed bc I was charged .60 for a copy that I couldn’t use. I go over to the lady that was working the printing desk and ask how I can print my photo. She then says that I have to buy a whole pack of photo paper because she can no longer sell me a single sheet. Like what?? So, she knew that but didn’t let me know before hand? So annoying. Read moreI went in to purchase my Norton Virus product since my previous was expiring. While browsing it appeared they were greatly staffed much less have a great deal of customers aside from the store itself being kinda dreary in appearance. Frankly I wish Office Max was still around as its own rather than the merger which combined the two because OMax was more customer oriented and sales staff helpful and you were greeted. It seemed to me that who they had working were not very knowledgeable in there job. I was far from impressed with the guy working who had been handed my purchase and went to some cabinet looking for a product key card that was already sealed in the box which irritated me when he told me that there was nothing in the cabinet which naturally there wouldn't have been. I was never asked if I wanted a bag for my purchase, my receipt in print from their register was partially not printed and as I was leaving I felt as if I had made a mistake shopping for my Norton Virus Control and would have been better off purchasing it at another store.
