Went here 2/2024. It was a favorite spot of my kid's for the boba/bubble tea. (They love it so much that grandma got them a 15$ gift card from there for Christmas.) Since January of 2024, we've used the gift card one time so there should be approx. 9-9.50$ left on the gift card. We went there today to get drinks. First: our gift card wouldn't scan. The guy behind the counter tried to swipe it a few times but he kept getting an error. He had his partner behind the counter call the owner. I was told to wait for the owner to come in to try and fix the problem. A little unorthodox but ok. We waited 15-20 minutes before I decided to just pay for the drinks myself instead of trying to use the gift card. (I had frozen groceries in the car.) After I placed my order, the owner arrived. He tried to swipe the gift card and told me the balance was zero. I said that's not possible. He basically said there was nothing he could do. We got zero compensation for having to wait on him and zero compensation for THEIR gift card not working. (There's not even a way to check the gift card balance yourself - you have to rely on the competency of the staff to swipe the gift card and check the balance for you.) Unimpressed, we collected our drinks and left but I am not going back again. Good customer service means fixing mistakes - especially if those mistakes are not the customer's. My kid liked their boba tea but my grapefruit green tea tastes like hand sanitizer (and I like grapefruit!) - I couldn't even finish it. What a waste of money and now we're stuck with a dead gift card as well. So disappointed. Things I also noticed while waiting 20 minutes for the owner to show up: improper plastic glove wearing by the staff. The guy behind the counter who called the owner on his cell phone kept his gloves on the whole time (while touching the cell phone) and didn't change them to make food for the next person. He also kept adjusting his clothing with the gloves on. I don't blame the staff: it seems like they're severely under-trained (and probably under-paid). I...
Read moreAt first- I was thrilled to find a place like this. My first and second visits both Take-out experiences were fantastic.
The reason I am giving this place a “one star” review is because my third visit- which was another “take out” experience. Was not pleasant. I was the only customer in the restaurant (throughout this entire experience) my order was:
Small amount of Brown Rice Protein (2scoops): Tuna Shrimp Salmon Crab With: Cucumber Onion Cabbage Toppings: Seaweed Salad Carrot Crunchy Onions
I chose 2 sauces: Teriyaki and Sesame Seed.
This is why I am giving the “One Star” review. The server looked up at me and asked me if she wanted me to mix up all of the Protein with the 2 sauces. And at first I did not understand what she was asking. Because the first 2 times I was there- it was something that they just did. They grabbed a separate bowl and dumbed the items in before putting the Toppings on and would mix everything together. I had her repeat herself again, and this is when she told me it was because she had “other orders” that were waiting for her to be completed. Please understand I was still the only ONE in the restaurant. The orders that she was referring to were “call-in” orders or orders placed online.
The server seemed more concerned with the other orders than with my order that she was...
Read moreFood is outstanding! It was my first visit to this location. It will not be my last! I was a little overwhelmed with which way to try the new-to-me location. Piecing together a dish or a signature bowl. I decided that a fair trial is made by allowing the establishment to make a recommendation. So, signature bowl It was. I ordered the Hawaii Poké bowl. It has a variety of proteins. I chose white rice, no lettuce as the base. When served, it was a giant specialty sushi minus some seaweed. Absolutely wonderful! I should have stopped eating halfway through the dish. I told myself to take the rest home. I was full. . . . I also finished the entire portion. .my one mistake. A pleasant one, but still a mistake. At basically $20 for the dish, it was not over priced. Again, next time I might convince myself to make it two meals. Maybe not. I has water to drink, but that is my normal beverage. I was hot and a little dehydrated. Other options are available. Service was pleasant and timely. Nothing fancy, but exactly what I wanted. Simple eating atmosphere. Not high dining. No complaints, just an observation. Dining area is sufficient for...
