Overall, really great place. From low priced movies, harder to find things, and a WIDE selection of movies/games, there's really no reason to go to Gamestop. From my own personal experience as a flipper, it's a great place as well. I usually bring a decent amount of items in to sell and theyve been tremendous as far as a fair price (which keeps my wife happy n allowing me to keep flipping!). All the workers so far have been incredible, with one exception (and it's entirely possible he was having a bad day, who knows, but still cant take it out on loyal frequent customers). I walked in on a Sunday, more than an hour from closing time. I was instantly greeted with a sigh by Brad, the only employee there. Upon seeing how much we had he said with pure annoyance in his "yeah, I'm not gonna be able to take them today. I gotta still finish this trade in and i just don't got time". (Keep in mind there's still over an hour until close). So i told him we had no problem waiting until he was done with that trade in no need to rush and was responded to yet more annoyance (while his Facebook messenger continued going off repeatedly, so i must have been keeping him from a conversation more important than his job) while he replied "yeah, like i said, I'm not gonna have time to do it today. You wanna leave them here for tomorrow, feel free not it's not happening today". So i mentioned just how often we are there, making clear how much inventory comes from me, and how im there well in advance of close, and now the annoyance from BRAD was BLATANT while saying (loudly and in front of other customers, which was humiliating to me in front of my kids) "Look man, I'm not OBLIGATED to buy your stuff!" Almost implying that im a bother, a nuisance and desperate (of which none are the case lol). So i said "it's cool man. I'll just drive to Toledo. What's your name btw so i know who im dealing with here?" To which he replied "DON'T WORRY ABOUT MY NAME". "It's cool then I'll just talk to (the owner) and (the main manager, both im tremendously cool with)" and Mr. Customer Service replied "don't waste your time, I'll call her myself" then proceed to maybe call maybe not?
Oh? Really? Ok Brad.
So i guess my review wants to make clear 3 things.
Replay of Monroe (and Toledo) is AMAZING. I love doing business with them. I highly recommend
99.999999% of the staff are ETHICAL, GREAT, VERY CUSTOMER ORIENTED, AND CARING.
I will NOT return to the Monroe location at any point if BRAD is working. (Amazing i know his name, since he never gave it to me). I was there yesterday, only to drive to Toledo once i seen he was working. I won't be treated like a bother, a nuisance, a begger, nor a bum. And Brad did all the above. I'll stay in Toledo and only visit monroe when Brad isn't working. Feel free to experience his greatness yourself but don't be surprised when it's less...
As a frequent shopper of this store, it pains me to see both Trevor and Tina leave negative and false reviews. The employees of this store are not only extremely polite and greet people at the door, but I have also witnessed them go above and beyond for multiple customers that shop there, regardless of gender. I have witnessed ”Trevor” (fake profile, by the way) harass the employees on multiple occasions with his comments and behavior. I have even had conversations with the employees about how uncomfortable he makes them feel. It is truly sad that only one side of the story has been shared, and I would be wary of the negative reviews you see on this page.
Keep up the great...
Read moreReplay has a better retro game selection then GameStop, and sells way cooler products, including movies, little nick nacks and collectibles, used laptops phones and tablets, posters, used consoles, controllers, special edition games or limited runs. The one thing that they are missing out on is a better selection of Nintendo switch games. I come time and time again to see if I can scoop up any games I want and support my local game store but I never end up getting that great of a selection. Overall, cool store, way more fun than GameStop to look through. Always support your local game store if you can, even if that just means trading in...
