So 2 days later the bed was not as comfortable as it was in the store. We went to see if we can exchange it as we were told there was 100% guarantee only to be told there is a 25% fee to exchange plus delivery. Which was $300 Jay was not very helpful and wouldn't even waive the delivery fee. So now we are either stuck with a bed we are not happy with or we are out $300 . Even though its in the fine print Joe should have been very specific about the return policy and not told us 100% guarantee for 60 days. Is there an option for 0 stars because thats what they get from me.
Joe at the Monroeville store was amazing. We purchased our new matress on Tuesday and it was delivered Thursday. We weren't quite sure what we wanted and Joe was very knowledgeable about thier products. He didn't try to sell us the most expensive. He explained the difference in each one we were interested in . Then, when we got the mattress and box springs delivered the box springs made the mattress way too high for the bed frame that we had.So we returned the box spring.I spoke with jJy, the store manager, and he promply gave us a refund. If I could give more than five stars, I would. But this is definitely five star customer service across the board. We will review the mattress after we sleep on it.For about a week or so and let you know if it is as comfortable as it seemed when we tried it out...
Read moreWithout a doubt the worst experience we've ever had buying a mattress. On July 5, 2025 we purchased a new mattress and box springs for $2400. During our talk with the salesman he told us that we had a full year to exchange the mattress for another one if we were not satisfied, which sold us on buying. Unfortunately the mattress we bought is far more soft and giving than the one we tried in the showroom and it has killed my boyfriend's back since the day we first slept on it. We returned today, August 10, 2025 to see about an exchange and this is where the experience went sour. To exchange we would receive no type of pro-rated credit whatsoever, plus we would have to pay a 25% fee for whatever other mattress we would want. Needless to say this makes no sense financially if we decided to go with a far less expensive model, which is what we had planned. So if we had instead went with a $1000 mattress, for example, we would actually be paying close to $2700 for that cheaper mattress since we got nothing in return for the 30 day old one. We didn't expect a full refund at all, but absolutely nothing after a little over 30 days? This was our first time dealing with The Original Mattress Factory after buying from another locally owned company for the last 20 years. I can assure you it will be our last with "OMF" and we'll never do business with them again....
Read moreThis was our second purchase from Original Mattress Factory. It was one of the most pleasant purchase experiences I’ve encountered. Jay was so helpful in answering our questions and explained the mattress thoroughly and the best part was no high pressure. We had gone to a furniture store close by and the guy followed us around and it was hard to discuss what we wanted because every time we started discussing it we’d turn around and there was a salesman watching with everything as if he was using binoculars to watch us. I like to be comfortable when I shop with no pressure or “safari “ tactics. Second purchase and you can bet if I’m in the market for mattresses it’s going to be from The Original Mattress Factory. Thank you Jay for your assistance and allowing us to shop with no pressure it was...
