Paragon at Old Town Apartments — Attraction in Monrovia

We’ve been at Paragon for about a month now while our house is being renovated. We chose this as our temporary new home because of the location, price and that it’s dog friendly. It’s been a smooth process from the beginning. It was easy to schedule a tour online, the staff is very responsive and friendly, and we instantly felt at home. We downsized from our 2 bedroom house to a 1 bedroom apartment, but it’s still enough room for us and our 2 dogs. My dogs miss their yard, but they get a couple walks a day, I feel safe walking them in the early morning and at night. I just wish there was a fenced area they can run around, but we make it work. The noise level is minimal, and dare I say quieter than our house (we lived on a busier street with neighbors who liked to sing and have a rooster). The parking structure feels safe, and there is plenty of guest spots if you have an extra car or someone visiting. I also like that your parking spot is on the same level as your apartment to make it easier to move or take things in, rather than always having to use stairs or an elevator. There are lockers for packages and the system they use is really easy and safe to retrieve your packages. I’ve seen some packages to the side of the lockers though, but so far I haven’t had any issues. We’ve had one issue with our door lock but maintenance came right away (this was a Saturday morning) and fixed it within the hour. The gym could have more equipment but it gets the job done and is clean. The resident lounge is a nice party room residents can reserve through the apartment website. They also had a complimentary wrapping station there for the holidays which I thought was a nice touch (especially because I hate wrapping gifts). I definitely would recommend...

The Paragon complex is a beautiful apartment building in Old Town Monrovia. My husband and I were looking for a short term rental and only a handful of places offer that in the area.

From the moment my husband and I stepped foot into the Paragon complex, we were greeted by such a warm and wonderful staff. Freddy gave us the tour of the grounds. We were immediately impressed by his professionalism and he was able to answer all of our questions so thoroughly and with a warm smile. During the leasing process, Kevin, the leasing consultant was quick to respond to us and since then has made our move in very smooth and is always so personable! Diana, the community manager was always available when I needed help or had any questions.

I had a minor issue - toilet paper holder missing - and literally 30 minutes after I submitted the maintenance request, I hear a knock on my door. It was Johnny, one of the maintenance staff.

Let’s talk about the grounds. The central courtyard area with the pool is so beautiful with the lush plants. I constantly see the crew cleaning the hallways. Both the clubhouse and gym area is very clean and immaculate.

Since moving here, we’ve found that it’s very quiet, clean and safe complex. Safety was key since we have two young kids.

The entire staff with their warm welcome and genuine enthusiasm is what really separated our visit to Paragon from anywhere else. If you’re searching for a place that feels like home from the moment you step through the door, then look...

I have lived in many apartment complexes and my experience at Paragon at Old Town has by far been the best. I have now lived here for over three years. I recently had a large maintenance issue which required ongoing repair work inside my unit for about two weeks. First, Paragon insisted on quality repairs. They immediately had outside experts in my unit to assess the problem and begin remedies. Second, they were incredibly efficient, and did everything possible to have the repairs completed in a timely fashion. Finally, they communicated with me throughout the entire process. It was a stressful situation but the staff at Paragon did everything in their power to make things as easy as possible for me. Other complexes would have dragged out the repairs and just done the bare minimum -- not Paragon.

On a regular day to day basis the building staff is always easy to reach for maintenance or any other issues. I have never had anything but friendly and helpful interactions with each of them. It's nice that they don't just stay holed up in their offices, I frequently see them around the complex which makes them more of a friendly face versus the typical "maintenance guy" or "person who works in the leasing office." I have lived in many complexes with high staff turnover so you're constantly dealing with someone new. I have noticed that Paragon has very little turnover, and that consistency is helpful.
