I don't even really know where to begin so I guess I'll just summarize what happened...
Went in this GS on 5/24/22 at 11:22 because that's what time Lacey opened the store. I showed up around 11:05AM and watched the UPS guy come and leave without dropping off his packages and then Lacey finally opened the door for me and USPS. Pretty sure this store opens at 11:00AM
I picked up Fire Emblem Three Houses Used WITH A CASE and Monster Hunter Rise NEW. Upon ringing me up, Lacey tried to put warranties on my games without telling me which were 3.99 & 2.99 respectively (I have my receipt to show the voided transaction when I asked her to remove them). After she removed them, I paid and she bagged up my games and tied the bag off nice and neat. I opened up the bag to see that the FE Three Houses case was no longer in the bag but was replaced with a generic case. I inquired with Lacey about this and she told me it didn't come with a case EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A PRE-OWNED CASE ON THE WALL THAT I TOOK TO HER. I asked for the pre-owned case and she said she couldn't give it to me unless the game was her last copy (CORPORATE POLICY). So I asked for a refund, which she did after taking my original receipt.
Upon further inspection, I realized that the MH Rise case was not new and in fact, had a pre-owned sticker on it. I inquired on this as well with Lacey and she told me I bought a used copy. Really? The used copy is 31.99 and you charged me 39.99 and slapped a used game in a used case. Okay, fine. Let me return this one as well.
Lacey gives me two return receipts and I ask for my original receipt. Lacey tells me she cannot give it to me. I ask why and she claims, CORPORATE POLICY. She cannot give me my original receipt, which she took from me because of some policy. Instead, she prints out a copy of my receipt and rips off the top and bottom. She did this three times and then finally gave me a receipt without her name or survey code on it.
SURPRISE LACEY, YOU GAVE ME MY RETURN RECEIPTS WITH YOUR INFORMATION ON IT.
I already called Corporate and spoke with a nice girl named Erica who has escalated this to the DM. Both myself and my friends have investments in Gamestop stock and this is supremely disappointing. If Lacey is the best that Gamestop offers, I think selling my stock would be the best option moving forward.
Lacey should not be employed...
Read moreBlack Friday Experience: Went in earlier this morning and had possibly the worst visit to this location that I've had in a long time. The ONLY reason I went in was to buy one of their Playstation cards that were on sale today. I was told their internet was down. I managed to comment "Oh wow, that's stupid..." before I was rudely cut off and told that 'it's not our fault...if you want you can come back later today or drive to another location and get it'. Now, that alone to me was pretty unnecessary. But after they were done defending themselves (which is funny because of what I was trying to say) I managed to finish my sentence..."...that's stupid because your internet providers should've known you guys would be busy today. That sucks for you guys." I was given the "angry customer" treatment for no reason...I didn't raise my voice, I did nothing to get attention from anyone else. Heck, I was watching their GameStop TV while they babbled on. So to say the least...I wasn't mad that their net was down, but I am mad I was treated poorly.
But I guess I should thank them. After their advice I did go somewhere else. The Walmart just 2 minutes away. There I was able to buy the card I wanted AND found some better deals. A game I might've got at GameStop for $40 I found at Walmart for $25. Either way, I'm done with this location. And I'll be sure to tell my family and friends about this...
Read moreVisited this store and purchased some Pokemon cards. After checkout, I realized a pack rang up free. Before walking out, I asked the associate why it rang up free and she explained there was a “Buy 3 get 1 free” sale on collectibles. I had purchased 5 packs so I figured why not get 3 more and have one of them be free.
The associate said nope we can’t return those. Keep in mind folks, I never even left the store. After circles with her and her manager I was basically told I’m SOL. I didn’t even leave the store yet, and you can’t honor a sale that was never mentioned to me? I was also told I would get a call from another associate who I assume is a higher level manager or handles inventory. I never received a call, I heard nothing. What a joke of a location.. Keep in mind, the receipt explicitly states that collectibles can be returned if purchased through a pro account, mine were exactly that.
I have since gone to another GameStop location where they gladly returned my 5 packs and let me pick out 3 more and took advantage of the buy 3 get 1 free sale. Unprovoked, the associate at the new location said it was Moore GameStop’s fault for not mentioning the sale or...
