Watching a movie right now that doesn't fit the screen, called to tell them about it, heard them talking about it in projection, and they did nothing to fix it. Also, something is blocking the projector, so part of the image on the screen can't be seen. They didn't do anything about that either. After my previous review about the previews/commercials not starting on time, my next few trips here have had them start on time - hopefully that means someone saw my review and took actions to correct it šŸ‘ They still don't clean the seats (the theater across the street always has clean seats), or behind the seats (DO NOT look behind the seats unless you want to run out of the theater screaming 😱) And the movies are often improperly sized - they're either too big and the top/bottom are off the screen, or they're too small and there's empty screen above, below, on the right and on the left of the movie. They usually fix it when I call them (thank you for that), but it would be nice if the projectionist would check and see if it's the right size before walking away. But the employees are friendly - I do appreciate their kindness. Fyi - the air conditioning doesn't work in all the theaters, so I'm going to make notes about which ones it works in. Auditorium 4 - VERY humid, AC not working well Auditorium 13 - the AC works šŸ‘

This is the worst theater in the Triangle area that is not an AMC Classic. Every time I’ve gone here I’ve completely regretted it. Today is the last time that I will be back even though it is the closest to my home. Every show room I’ve been in, the projectors are horribly misaligned and distorting the picture. The quality of the picture is also so horrible in comparison to all other theaters I’ve been to in the area. My QLED tv at home is better quality than the projectors at this theater. The first time I ever went here was for the latest showing on a Tuesday night—the AC was out in the middle of the summer and it felt like a sauna in the theater room that was showing the movie I picked. Instead of canceling the showing, or letting us ticket holders know beforehand, OR moving it to a different theater room that had AC since there were plenty that were empty, they did absolutely nothing about it. Since then, I’ve been in 3 different theater rooms there to really give it a good shot and all of the screens look misaligned, out of focus picture, lights on in the theater room during the movie, etc. I really, really tried with this location but I am never going back.

The movie theater by our house recently closed down, so we had to find a new one to go to. The Morrisville AMC 16 is only a 10 minute drive, so we gave it a shot. We were definitely NOT disappointed. The employees were very nice and fast, we bought our tickets online but wanted food and it was very pleasant. Food took about 15 minutes, but everything was perfect. The theater was clean, and I love that it has recliner seats. Just one thing to warn people about, if you get the pretzel, just keep in mind that this thing is huge. It does come with 2 cheese dip cups. We shared it, and it was enough for 3 people. But it was so good. We will absolutely go again.

I want to share my experience at Carmike Cinema-Park Place 16 . This theater is located directly across the street from another theater with a similar name. After searching for the movie I wanted to see online (and seeing that it was playing at "Park West" in Morrisville, I arrived at the theater and was told that they weren't playing that film. I stood there in confusion with three employees staring at me like I was crazy. I asked the employee why the movie would be listed as playing at 12:20 online when it wasn't actually playing at this location and she directed me to locations in Raleigh and Durham. I pulled up the listing on my phone and asked directly if there was another Park "something" in Morrisville, to which she replied, "I don't know, ma'am, I only work here". After ascertaining that I was in the wrong location (Park West is across the street), I asked why she, nor any of the other employees standing around, would not help a confused customer who was clearly looking to see a specific movie at a specific time at a specific theater. She told me shoud wouldn't help me give money to another theater...which is fair. However, she responded to my questions in such a condescending and nasty manner that I was almost dumbstruck. I couldn't believe she was speaking to me in front of other people that way. There were no other customers, only three employees standing around gawking at our exchange. I called the theater later and spoke to a manager and was again disappointed in the lackadaisical response. Cary/Morrisville/Apex is such a nice area, with no shortage of movie theaters. As the closest theater to my home Carmike is the one I'd visited most. I don't intend to return unless staff learn the meaning of customer service. I'm not a person who believes the customer is always right, but there is no excuse for the way I was spoken to today. I'd rather pay extra to people who seem to care about...

After over a year in isolation due to Covid, we decided to go to the movies to see Cruella at AMC Park Place 16. My wife and I purchased our tickets at a cost of over $20.00 for two. Though the theater was clean, the temperature in the room was warm, 10 minutes before the beginning of the previews, we asked that if the temperature could be lowered a few degrees. We were told it would be. It never happened. After 20 minutes of previews, we settled down to watch the movie which was very entertaining. About 35 minutes into the movie, the picture stopped but the sound kept going. After 5 minutes of no movie, we went to management. 15 minutes later, a staff member came in and told us the light to the projector had burnt out and gave us a pass to return. At first, the staff member only gave one pass per family, but we noted that the pass stated on it that it was valid for only one person. After reading the fine print, she apologized and gave us two passes. However, by that time, other customers who left before us, only received one pass per family not realizing that the pass was only valid for one person. Needless to say, we were very disappointed in the theater. Not only was it uncomfortable in terms of the temperature, but as customers we believe we should have been offered a refund for this movie. Frankly, we are not sure we will return to watch this same movie from the...

A few reasons for this review that I'm happy to update if things actually improve:

  1. A/C stopped working in multiple theater rooms, and it hasnt been fixed in MONTHS! This is totally unacceptable. You guys do know that people used to literally go to the movies back in the 60s BECAUSE they had A/C! I saw the newest Mission Impossible (a 3 hour movie) in a PACKED theater with no A/C and it was MISERABLE! Not to mention UNSANITARY as I'm sure everyone was SWEATING in their seats! I would have walked out if I wasn't meeting friends that drove a far distance to see the movie at this location.
  2. PICK UP THE PHONE! I literally can't get anyone to respond when I try to call this theater with a question. POORLY MANAGED!
  3. BURNT POPCORN. Why is it smoky almost every time I walk in here, you have one food item to prepare and yall still SCREW IT UP! UNACCEPTABLE.
  4. This location is GREEDY! You guys magically couldn't acquire the Annual movie buckets this year after having them no problem last year. All while telling customers "we don't have them yet" knowing full well you would NEVER get them! You do realize you're just screwing over the loyal customers with this move. As an A-lister I'm already paying a big monthly fee and all you can do is figure out more ways to screw over the people still showing up to this...
