Overall we enjoyed our time/food at this restaurant. While It wasn’t a huge deal, in part because it was such a beautiful day to sit and relax on their well-put-together patio (with their great selection of music!) and though they only had 2 other diners, besides us…service was slow. But, as fortune would have it, we landed/lucked into arriving during Happy Hour, but it turned out to be 1/2 Happy when our $5 Margarita Mock Tails, came to us, we were informed that us that it was not possible for them to execute a frozen Virgin Margarita…something about their mixer and how it was not conducive to the likes of ice and a blender. I didn’t mind, as I ordered mine, exactly that way, but my friend was a little disappointed, that they did not give her the opportunity, to order a different drink of her liking because they have a generous selection of drinks of the fruity persuasion and quite possibly, at least one of them had to accommodate her frozen drink preference. As we sipped along, she did report it passed muster and had a stable position on her likability scale. I was digging mine, though they overlooked my request of a salted rim. Word to the wise-I wouldn’t consider it a traditional margarita, as there was club soda in it and while I appreciated the fresh lime juice, it really tasted like the base of a mojito…minus the alcohol. On another note, as we soaking up the sun and some fun-we noticed they had table-top “fire places” (forgot what you call them) and stand-up heaters and we thought that it would be inviting for some after work ambience, with a side of comfortability and possibility of a realistic patio plan on those chilly evenings-nice touch Guac Taco! Like I said, overall we enjoyed ourselves-we would recommend it to others and without reserve, return happily in the very near future! Oh and not unlike Trend Urban Cafe-they offer complimentary and freshly herb-infused water, which always is a winner in my book! Also-their space was especially clean and the women’s bathroom followed suit! So make a Guac Taco Trip and see for yourself, why so many reviewers are advising others to refrain from overlooking this new gem on Stone Mountain. And really, tell me-where you can come across a quality and freshly-squeezed lime margarita for $5!?! Lastly…don’t forget to sign-up for their Customer Rewards Program. Godspeed...
Read moreToday was my first time here. I ordered online which was a breeze. Got there 15 mins later and my food was waiting on me. I was hoping for the best but was very disappointed. I ordered knowing the tacos didn't come with a side, however, I hoped the protein would make up for it. I had 2 fried fish tacos and one hawaiian steak. All three were $5/ taco. The Hawaiian Grilled Churrasco Steak taco was great. It had a delicious taste. It was a good portion for the price. The fish tacos not so much. They were flaky and had a good taste, but the meat was barely there. The fish portions were so small I had to combine into one. They also have limited toppings. The fish tacos had chow chow and crema. I only got the crema. These tacos should be $2 at best. $5 taco with barely meat to fill the shell and limited toppings is crazy. They dont compare to the steak taco to be the same price; especially, since you're using a cheap fish. I spent $15 for 3 tacos which shouldnt had cost more than $10 for what was given. Especially with no sides. I then ordered a side of plantains. They were pretty good. I really liked the flavor. However, the were too firm. I'm used to them being soft and melting in my mouth. Not chewing like Im eating a hotdog. There were about 5-6 medium sized pieces. Plentiful as a side. Overall I'm extremely underwhelmed. I could have gone to my usual spot and get the same amount of tacos, side, drink, and chips and salsa (on the house) for the same $21 I spent here. They missed the mark. Unless I have a taste for the steak taco again, I...
Read moreI was introduced to this place just this week ...my first and last time. There was only 2 customers when we ordered. The food was not hot enough for the time waited. Luke warm cause of sauce, I guess but meat should still be warm.
The cashier is your first contact...not trained to be welcoming like they want your business. Greet with a warm smile and 🙂courtesy.
*Then I hear a female Mgr /or cook in her late 20-30ish going back and forth w a senoir customer who was explaining a problem w her order who appeared to come there often.
This conversation sound bad and it was not a good image. Then you have the young cashier looking on taking up the same rude behavior.
A staff can never get too much training periodically. Now is the time for Mgt and maybe why there was only two customers there ...as we ordered and dined for 30 min.
Poor mgt service is always sad to witness. Speaks volumes of what's allowed by you, the owner.
Also, for me, Its not worth the money for the small portion sizes and food amount -a regular taco is more at a Taco Bell.
Not my recommendation. 1x - make or break!
Why do many businesses treat the lighter race differently when they are not satisfied w their order...this is a fact not a question and seen too often.
Do better, give quality service to all...during this inflation (or not) ppl are already watching where and with whom they spend 👎$👎 2 stars...
