All right Back to the DCC aka the double cup charge. I got my coffee and apparently wasn’t strong enough to separate the gorilla glue between the two cups. So I went about my business or making my self serve coffee. I finished with my cream and sugar and looked up to find no coffee jackets (no problem, cause I got two cups). BUT NO LIDS. Now, I use to enjoy the feeling of burning hot coffee down my hands but I have gotten older. I went to the super nice cashier lady and asked where I could get a lid. She said ask the lady In The back which I did. Politely. like my mother taught me. First response from the lady was, “we need to charge you for the extra cup!?!?” Man. Read moreWell, this was a very bad experience today shopping at the Market at Mountain Village. I expected overpricing in a tourist area, but we looked at the prices posted below each item. However, at the cash register those prices did not always match what was posted. When my wife questioned and tried to show a worker and then the manager those differences she was told by said manager to "get out of my store." I would just suggest never going in to that store in the first place. Looks like I shop at another overpriced Telluride store or go to City Market (Kroger) in Montrose. In the negative for me, and I should not have done it, I told the manager of the Market in Telluride off for his rude answer to my wife. In fact, I showed him the bird of paradise. DO...
Read moreMy son and I had the same experience as Herb on 2 separate occasions in the past week. This store needs to take a hard look at its customer service, management, and pricing. We were told that the store has "plenty of customers" so they don't need our business. We stock up on groceries from Montrose and then make special trips to Clark's in Telluride to avoid the really shocking and disappointing attitudes and environment at the Mountain Village market. STEER CLEAR of this store who seems to have a chip on its shoulder toward visitors who make it possible for store employees...
