Well, I'm a picky person, but I have to say this is the best hotel experience I've ever had.
I stayed in the deluxe studio for 3 nights. I didn't expect the room to be large as it called itself studio. But it turned out to be a 800+ sq feet spacious one bedroom with a very large private balcony and beautiful mountain view. There are 1.5 bathrooms, 3 tvs (one in living room, one in bedroom, and one in the master bathroom). It also has an open kitchen with a nice bar table and all the appliances you need for cooking; it even has its own washer and dryer! The hotel is quite new, so the design is very modern and comfortable. The lighting system is very nice too. Just like an ideal home/condo I would like to have.
As to the service, all the staff (from front desk to housekeeping) are very nice and considerate. They called me in advance to check if I need anything, and sent me a list of all the info I need for my trip. They even put a humidifier in the room since Mountain Village is very dry.
The only thing that I think they might make improvement is their bar, as there are not too much choices and the running hours is too short (3-8pm). I guess this is because the hotel is not big enough (seems like they only have 30ish rooms), and to have a full-function bar might not be economical. But this definitely doesn't reduce the quality the hotel overall (if you really want to find a nice bar, there are some just within walking distance).
Overall, it was a really a great experience. I would definitely stay here again when I visit...
Read moreOur family loves the Lumiere in Telluride for our ski trips. The staff are so welcoming and take care of you from the beginning of planning rentals, lift tickets, reservations for dinner to whatever you need help with during your stay. My family loves the convenience of the ski valet at level 3R. We simply head down the elevator each morning in our socks to get our boots and skis on for the day. The men in the ski valet are absolutely wonderful and take the best care of you and all your needs. My boys also love that when you exit here at the Lumiere you are taken to Lift 4 versus if you stay lower like the Madeline hotel for example you have to ski down the Meadows and ride lift 1 to get to lift 4. Make sure to get multiple humidifiers for better sleep and we usually crack a door to try and cool off the room and...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed here in June, during the off-peak season. We travel often and cannot speak highly enough of how friendly, helpful and professional the staff at Lumiere were. From the moment we arrived, the bell boy was genuinely friendly and very helpful. He was very attentive to our dog and immediately offered to bring up a dog bed and water/food bowls to our room. He also gave us a package of treats for our dog as well. The front desk staff was very knowledgeable about hikes in the area and went above and beyond to make sure we didn't have any further questions. All the staff of Lumiere were very friendly throughout our stay. Our room had a great mountain view, was very clean and the bathroom was superb! We were treated so well, this will definitely be the place we stay when we...
