Since Jason would like to respond to my first review and call my husband and I a liar after I had given my honest review, I'd like to respond to him once again. In my first review, I was simply trying to help future customers from making the same mistakes in shopping at your store. However, since Jason would like to open that can of worms, I'd be happy to correct his misinformation and share more issues with his customers. 1) We have definitely spent well over $5,000 at your location over the past 5 years---it just might not be under our names. So, please don't call my husband a liar on social media unless you have your facts straight. My husband has done consulting & installation work for multiple churches & businesses in Muncie, Winchester and other cities where we purchased the equipment through YOUR location only BECAUSE of my husband's direct suggestions to these businesses he consulted for----and equipment was purchased under that business' name. We could have taken that money and gone anywhere---but he chose to shop with you guys! You weren't always the cheapest, but he still chose to shop there because he had a long relationship with you guys. As you can imagine that won't be happening any more!! 2) My husband initially called Sight and Sound because we thought they might be helpful enough to want to offer a little verbal advice over the phone because, heaven forbid, they do offer customer service, right? Plus we had shopped here for years, and thought it was a reliable place to call to receive friendly , helpful advice---we actually thought we could trust them! I guess we were very wrong! Unlike Jason, we actually don't know everything there is to know in the world about every piece of audio equipment and simply wanted to ask for a little help from someone who works in the business and might have an answer to our question. If Jason couldn't have helped us or didn't want to speak to my husband about a piece of equipment that wasn't purchased through him all he needed to do simply say he wasn't able to help us, say thanks for calling and hang up. No attitude necessary. If Jason had listened to him in the first place, he would have realized is was a much simpler issue. My husband did call another business AFTER speaking to Jason & got the problem resolved after about 15 minutes on the phone---with NO need to buy additional equipment. It was much simpler than Jason was making the problem to be once we found someone knowledgeable in this area. In fact this issue was easily resolved after a 2nd phone call and the current client is very happy and satisfied with his installation. 3) YES, Jason did call and leave a very long message on my husband's cell phone. It was an apology, but one that sounded more like he was upset that he was going to loose our business, NOT that he was sorry he wasn't able to actually help us. He also stated, "I saw the reviews you guys posted online, and yeah, I deserved that" Your prideful candor on Facebook/Google to make my husband appear as if he was clueless only adds to our reassurance that your apology was indeed not genuine; and you are only concerned with the money. Over the past few years we had heard of several unsatisfied friends/ family who had shopped with Sight and Sound, and honestly wasn't sure why. However, our recent experience with them has definitely shown how much their business has dropped off. I'm even more taken back by the "keyboard courage" vibe I seem to be getting from his response to my honest review. Very unprofessional. I am not a big reviewer here when it comes to this kind of stuff---so the fact that I feel so passionately to spend my time warning folks about this business should speak volumes! We would definitely advise you to shop elsewhere if you're seriously considering investing in a system/ equipment where you are going to need ANY kind of customer service or support! We are certain there is a better, local store that would be more deserving of your business & MUCH...

As a 20+ year musician, music stores are my favorite places to go. I was excited for this one. My first experience here a few months ago was fantastic. Every time since has been miserable. Not only do they not have anything I need, but they strongly push their sub par in house brands for amps and guitars. They claim they donât sell due to problems from the factory and many many inconsistencies in manufacturing leaving all of the instruments with a defect from manufacturing at some point.
Came in yesterday for parts replacements and to get ahold of some distributors and the guy didnât know what he was talking about to the extent that he called the wrong distributor to tell me they didnât make a part for a completely different brand. (Found and ordered the part myself with a call to the right distribution). Went back today to have the same guy intentionally try to scalp me on price for an item due to being upset about the previous day. Not only were both experiences unprofessional but I wonât be back to this store ever. I refuse to shop at a store that intentionally raises prices based on if they like you or not on top of not knowing a thing about products they sell.

Edit: Gotta love that they come back being combative in all their replies too. Says a lot about how yâall do business. All your replies are complaining about every customer that has a bad experience with you guys. Which is yet another reason Iâll never shop here.
Also I walked in ready to spend over a grand on some rack equipment and you guys lost the sale due to being immediately rude about the price of the rack case. (As well as not actually carrying any rack equipment). You can look everywhere online and see better prices. Dude wanted to charge me for shipping for buying it in store. Theyâre listed between 50-100 everywhere.
But hey instead of working with people, letâs go ahead and say poor thing about customers online. Iâm sure that will encourage more people to do business with you.
Also, you donât have to lie in a response to someone. About half of your response is inaccurate information about the experience. Thanks for showing that you are incapable of doing business but that youâre also dishonest liars about situations. Donât trust these people. Look at the negative reviews and specifically the stores response to them before considering going here.
At least you admit for wanting to charge me shipping on top of the price of the item. Also I did mention I would buy an amp to test fit the part and return it. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable about his business, the equipment, customer satisfaction and experience but he is also super helpful and passionate about what he does! I was a bride who called looking for DJ services. Jacob wasnât able to help me with a DJ from Sight snd Sound due to the date being previously booked. He could have said âsorry canât helpâ and hung up. Not this guy. He talked with me for almost 45 minutes to find me a solution within my budget and held my hand through the whole process even thought he was not even going to be my DJ!!! It was seriously the most helpful and genuinely kind vendor I have spoken with! Jacob was able to customize an equipment rental package that was within my budget and explained every detail to me! He made me feel confident I would be able to use the equipment as a DIY DJ. Not only did he go over all those details with me, but when he heard I didnât have a caterer or a baker, he literally text me the references right then and there! Because of Jacobâs kindness and overall excellent customer support, I was able to not only find my DJ but my caterer and a baker!
