Such a terrible experience. I usually go to the Pittsburgh mills mall store and I now work in the Waterfront so I decided to go there. I bought āthe happy plannerā custom calendar/planner. I spent $80 on it customizing everything I wanted my planner to have and was super excited to finally have one that had everything I needed. I even got the cool folder inserts and budget planning guide. When I put everything together I realized that all the pages just have slits in them and they just slide onto the middle rings of the planner. Unfortunately the pages pop out constantly and get bent and folded up and it isnāt easy at all to turn multiple pages at a time. So I decided to exchange my customized planner for just a regular one seeing as how I couldnāt use the one I had. I went to this store to exchange it and the woman in charge was so rude to me. She wasnāt understanding or even slightly helpful. I had packaging and the materials for everything except a small sheet of stickers that went with a 502 page calendar section. ONE LITTLE PAGE OF STICKERS I happened to misplace when I literally bought 9 different packages of papers. She wouldnāt exchange it for me at all. I am so upset about this because I had such a terrible experience and such a waste of money and the ignorance of the staff is disgusting. Iāve never returned anything in my life to a michaels and will never ever give them my business again(I am a rewards member UNFORTUNATELY). I canāt believe someone would act like that to me. She wouldnāt make eye contact, apologize or even explain why I had to have this little paper of stickers which I think is ridiculous. She even told me now that Iām returning it, it will have to be thrown away. Oh Iām sorry that I got something that LITERALLY FALLS APART IF YOU USE IT. Iāve managed 3 different retail stores and I would never ever give a customer experience like that. Donāt ever go to this location if you actually want...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have to say I have never been in a Michaels store anywhere that was as clean and as well organized as the one in Pittsburgh at the Waterfront!!! Mind you, this was on Black Friday at 9:30p.m -they were open until 10:00 pm. There was nothing just laying on floor or messy shelves. I was a little upset because we got there so late. I am in an electronic wheelchair so do not move fast, and we were only customers in store. The gentleman that was there by the name of of Patrick was very pleasant and made us feel welcomed. He told us to take our time. I am sure he was looking forward to closing store and heading home. I headed to back of store for some yarn. I finally found what I was looking for. Then moved toward Christmas items. By this time it was almost ten, Patrick asked if he could help up find something. We asked if he wanted us to checkout and he said no take as long as you want. We went thru Christmas items and found what we wanted. It was now after ten and I forgot I needed to look for one more item. I found it and finally got to checkout about 10:15. Patrick asked if we found everything and I replied probably not. He said let me know when done. We said it was after 10:00 and he said don't worry about it. We said we could come back and had him check us out. Never once did he seem mad or upset that we kept him after closing. I will definitely go back to that Michaels againā¼ļøā¼ļø. Thank you Michaels for having such a dedicated and pleasant employee. I hope he has a very joyous Christmas (holiday) Season. Please if you are at the Waterfront in Pittsburgh stop and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAt the Waterfront today, decided to go in. Looking for nothing in particular, except tulle. Didnāt get through the front door without picking up 80% off spring tulip bushes. $2 each, I couldnāt pass it up. Grabbed a few items on the way back to fabric. Grabbed the 4 bolts of tulle I needed, proceeded to the cutting counter. An employee saw me coming to the counter, turned around and walked away down an aisle. I waited approximately 30 seconds, and Victor showed up from behind me to assist me. They had been sitting on the floor stocking shelves. Told them what I needed, & they proceeded to take care of it. We chatted the entire several moments it took, because, you know, tulle is not very cooperative. You have a gem of an employee in Victor! They were polite, professional, friendly to this 65 year old mom. I enjoyed every second of my interaction with them. Kudos to you, Victor, for being āyouā! I went to the self checkout (the lone cashier was quite busy & no one was at the selfie ones). I was charged twice for a set of paintbrushes & didnāt realize this until I got home & wondered what I bought that was $23.98. Iām not going back for a refund as I donāt live nearby. I still made out like a bandit on those tulip bushes. Lesson learned: check the receipt BEFORE...
