We recently hosted our son's first birthday party at Kids Land, and while the facility itself is fantastic, our overall experience was disappointing due to the lack of customer service.
First, the positives: Kids Land is a great space for children, with a well-structured play gym that all the kids at our party absolutely loved. The facility is spacious, clean, and offers plenty of activities to keep little ones entertained. The party area is very cute as you can see pictured.
However, our experience with the staff, specifically the assistant manager on duty, was frustrating from the start. When we arrived, there was no warm welcome—just a blunt, "Yes, it's 11:30, you may come in." She immediately commented on our balloons, assuming they had helium, despite my explanation that they did not. From that moment on, the interaction felt cold and unhelpful.
Throughout the party, she repeatedly reminded us—multiple times—that we needed to be out by 2:00 PM, despite us already assuring her we understood. At 1:30, while we were in the middle of opening gifts, she interrupted yet again, and then, unbelievably, started vacuuming right next to us. It felt like they were more concerned with turning over the party room as quickly as possible rather than ensuring we had an enjoyable experience. My friends and family felt awkward and rushed, which really put a damper on what should have been a special day.
To make matters worse, the private bathroom connected to the party room was plugged when we got there and unusable, yet people (not in our party) kept coming in through the gate to try to use it. There was no sign indicating the there was a private party and so random customers kept undoing the gate and coming in trying to use the bathroom that did not work and did not have a sign on it. On top of that, despite the cost of the party, we were expected to take out all of our own trash, which felt like poor service for a place that hosts back-to-back events.
Overall, while the play area itself is fantastic, the lack of hospitality and organization was extremely disappointing. If you’re considering hosting a party here, be aware that you really only get about 1.5 hours of actual party time, as cleanup is on you. Unfortunately, the staff’s attitude made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. I hope management takes feedback seriously because the space has so much potential, but customer service matters just as much as...
Read moreEven though my kids love the play area, we can't get over how rude the lady that works the front desk is. She has no customer service skills, gets easily frustrated, and is not patient with children. She is only nice when she is trying to sell you socks.
At our first visit, she was very irritable and acted like my kids were going to bust through just because they were excited. Saying no no no and blocking off her desk. They were just taking off their shoes and looking at what was in the glass. Typical for toddlers. Keep in mind that my kids are autistic but well behaved. If you have special needs children this place is not for you. You will feel shamed and treated like a nuisance.
We've been here many times for the sheer fact that my kids love the play area and we tried to dismiss or make excuses for her treatment but after having my daughter's birthday there we won't be back.
We attempted to pay the party balance beforehand and she made us wait until the end of the party which was questionable. My son had a small hole in his sock and she literally puts a new pair of socks on his feet herself and then charges at the end of the party. Then asks if I will be buying everyone socks. No, we all came with socks. Typical tactic to get the most money out of us. An hour and half in (2hr time frame) she comes in looking angry, starts to clean, and was blatantly rude to my MIL. We were just blowing my daughter's cake and started to pick up right after... We were treated poorly and rushed even though we demonstrated proper party etiquette and everything was as clean as when we arrived.
I don't leave reviews often but I felt like it was necessary to let other parents and parents with special needs children to know to stay clear of this place. It's...
Read moreThey don’t answer the phone and also don’t respond back to text, but their site says to call if you come after 5PM. Drove 20 minutes only to find out there is a private party so we couldn’t play. Don’t have your public hours to 7PM if you are going to have private parties during that time AND NOT ANSWER THE PHONE
Update: They called back next day.. She hurried and got off the phone after I explained to her that I wasn’t interested in booking a party and was only calling to see if they were open to the public the previous day. I then told her we drove 20 minutes only to find out they had a private party and we were turned away. No offer of a free kid admission or anything. Won’t be returning. They should only advertise this place for private birthdays, they don’t care about their...
