Beach Hobbies — Attraction in Myrtle Beach

Bought a Reedy 4s battery on July 10th for $178.19 while on vacation, and paid cash. Used it once on THEIR track on July 11th, with the same ESC I've used numerous times with multiple packs through. The battery I bought here went bad and I brought it back on July 12th. Was told that they don't take batteries because they "don't know how it was used" (which it was only ran once on THEIR track) and "I had to go through the company to get a new battery". I saw 3 of the same battery's I purchased on the shelf, but was told I couldn't get a replacement. "It's easy and Reedy will replace it" was what I was told... I don't understand why your shop couldn't just replace the battery when it was "easy" to replace. I would give 0 stars if I could because I am now out $178.19, have no battery to run on vacation, and have the wonderful experience of having to deal with a person who doesn't know what customer service is. Being able to only give 1 star is courteous in my eyes. Not only did I spend the money on this battery, but I also purchased $132.11 worth of parts. I will not be dealing with them again if I come back to myrtle beach....

Brent and everyone that is part of beach hobbies has been and always will be top notch. Great group of people and even better shop and track. Some of if not the best RC experience you can get. Indoor off road racing, on real dirt/clay, and the pits are pretty luxurious compared to some places I've seen. Prices and selection are always great, and if something isn't in stock, it'll get ordered and be there as fast as the supplier will ship it. Brent has taken this place from a modest beginning and grew it to be totally top notch, all while being a true ambassador to the sport of RC, and has helped me personally on countless occasions and kept me in the hobby even at times when I couldn't really afford to. Remember, without good places and good people like this, we wouldn't have any fun or get to enjoy the hobby. Anyone who finds or has negative things to say about the place is either trolling, or needs a mental health evaluation. Considering the location and what all is provided, you'd be hard pressed to find better. Keep up the good...

Went there today because the wheel on my Traxxas rustler came off because I lost the nut. There was a 19 year-old young man there who helped me out as I did not have my tools with me because I am traveling. Big mistake on my part, I believe the young man’s name was Cody. He took out his personal toolbox and took a few minutes at the end of the day just before they closed to help me out. Obviously young men like this were brought up right. These guys definitely deserve five stars. They moved to a new location and are trying to get their feet back on the ground. Their store looks great.
