Red Raven Art Company — Attraction in Myrtle Beach

I chose this place for a tattoo cover up that I had been saving for three years to get done due to its name. Thought hey! This has to be a good place right? Wrong. I paid over $400 for a two hour thrown together tattoo that I was told to go to Dr. Ink to have fixed by the artist. The artist, Cole Fey, informed me touch ups were free. I called, emailed and even went there after no response as the tattoo ‘an ink wasn’t packed correctly leaving lines broken. Missing ink along with what was supposed to be covered up being visible. The last straw for me wasn’t even being told to come in and have it fixed, or being told when I got there Cole Fey was moving (which she didn’t inform me of before having it done) and didn’t have time to fix it. No…the last straw for me was being told that either the owner or Shey, forgive me if I spelled it wrong, would call me and get me in to get it fixed. They never called. I partially blame myself for going to any shop here in Myrtle beach. I should have went with my instinct to go out of state to my usual artist. Most artist here are not professional, do not care about their craft and will leave you to only have to SEARCH for an artist to even touch someone else’s work. It’s the lack of professionalism for me. It’s the lie told to be stick with something that will be a constant reminder of why I should have never went here. And realizing the sad truth just because it’s called Red “Raven” does not mean they will hold themselves or artist to the standards that I, RAVEN,...

I lost my son on March 24, 2019. When I went into Red Raven, I was still very emotional to say the least. I was greeted with compassionate, caring people. After talking to Shey we decided on a portrait tattoo of my son. Shey also took some things from some of the pictures I brought and integrated them into the tattoo; I would have never thought of this. I booked my appointment but had to wait 6 weeks because Shey was so booked up. This was fine with me because that alone spoke volumes. I went for my tattoo yesterday and after a bit of tweaking, adding to and taking away, we were ready to start! From start to finish, Shey was very professional yet very compassionate. Fast forward to the finished product about 5 hours later....It was absolutely a work of ART!!! Shey brought my baby boy to life on my arm! I love it. Looks exactly like the photograph! Thank you soooo much Shey, now while the tattoo heals, hopefully it will help my heart to heal a bit too! You truly have a God...

I took the huge step and got my first ink done at Red Raven Art Company. It was an all positive experience from start to finish. My artist was Shey and he is fantastic! I did my research before choosing an artist and the reason I chose Shey is because he is extremely talented with grayscale and his attention to detail is incredible! I am so pleased with the way my tattoo came out. He's not only a great artist, but he's also a super nice guy, very accommodating and thorough. I have to harp on the rest of the staff as well. Britt and Sandy are super sweet and I liked that they reached out to me via text about openings in an artists schedule as well as appointment confirmation. The store itself carries a very cool vibe and is clean. Very nice also that they offer complimentary beverages to customers. Like I said, it was an all in all great experience and now that I have the tattoo bug, I will definitely return to Red Raven...
