Filthy room! Full of mold in the bathroom. I asked for a refund and I was offered a room upgrade. I declined and ended up at a different hotel. Hotel offered hair dryers in rooms in the ad. Those are only in the expensive rooms in the next building. Manager was supposed to send one to my room. It never arrived. The house keeper told me they’re for the people renting the higher cost rooms. I took all kinds of pictures of the black mold in the bathroom in the morning and showed them to Jessica the manager. She said there would be no refund as I decided to stay after I complained about the rooms being dirty. BUT when I saw the mold, I called the front desk and was told nothing could be done until Jennifer the manager arrived at 8am the next day. So I went to speak to Jennifer the next day and Jessica the manager told me Jennifer would not be in that day and in fact it was Jennifer I spoke with who delayed the conversation. Health Department has been notified. I am an environmentalist and relayed that there is visual fungi and unsafe for anyone to stay in the building until further investigation is done. Read moreHonestly... initially I was a bit concerned because the last time I visited before I had kids and before the major natural disasters I had no interest in returning. But the wheel got a face lift and the atmosphere seemed to have improved when we drove through. So we planned a day here and overall had a wonderful experience! Parking was a fair $11 from about noon and good until 2am. A fair amount of diverse stores open and those that are, are neat with very, very friendly staff. A unique treat was the rolled ice cream made right in front of you. The staff working the wheel would change their glasses and fake noses everytime we spun around causing the kids to have more interest and laugh, including ourselves the adults. Staff on other rides just as friendly. Beach was clean and neat. Looks like they drag the shoreline every morning. A little bit of education is provided on the actual boardwalk along the beach which was interesting. We will be back! Keep rebuilding and keep the area clean so it provides a safe feeling which will intrigue others to spend a day here as it did for me...

Well, to be honest, It was okay for me. I am from the jersey area and we have point pleasant beach & boardwalk, ashbury, wildwood, Seaside heights, and ofcourse Atlantic city… so might be I was expecting it more – so it was just okay for me. After 2 blocks, I was like where is the rest of the boardwalk? But then it was all Promenade.
The Boardwalk starts at the 14th Avenue North pier and winds down through Plyler Park to the 2nd Avenue Pier.
There are also several arcades located on the boardwalk, such as Family Kingdom Amusement Park. Myrtle Beach Boardwalk & Promenade is not your average boardwalk. Instead of just a straight wooden street meandering along the oceanfront, you’ll find separate sections with their own character, just waiting to immerse you in...
