Stayed last weekend in April 2025. Initially when I booked this I thought it was with the other "Holiday" hotel that is on the boardwalk which I had stayed at before. Upon arrival, I was concerned by the outside esthetics of this hotel. The check-in staff were nice so that helped settle some of my initial worries. Getting up to the room was fine. There was enough parking in front of the building and the elevator arrived quickly. I was in building #2 which has the restaurant. I liked that the rooms are inside so you don't have to deal with the elements. The room actually looked decent to my surprise. It appeared to have been remodeled. I like that the flooring was newer and not the old carpet. It was fairly clean but I reclean every hotel room that I stay in. I like the 2 bedroom set-up and how they are separated by the kitchenette. They had accordian style doors that gave you the illusion of privacy which my teenager liked but they were difficult to close. The beds were standard queens that appeared new but not luxury. The balcony view of the ocean made it all worth it. The balcony was carpeted with 2 standard plastic chairs.

Below is my overview of my stay. Pros: -the location (on the boardwalk & beach in the quieter section still in walking distance of everything but far enough away) -parking was across the street and appears ample enough but you got to walk -the TVs in the room are smart tvs -the pool and lazy river are actually warm and you can enjoy them. The jacuzzi was hot and they even had warm water to wash your feet off after walking back from the beach. The indoor pool was 4ft deep so limited swimming but the outdoor pool is deeper. It is located in the front of the building facing the street. -there is a restaurant on site which is open late @ 2a and the food is good, reasonably priced, and served fast. Staff were friendly but late night staff did give me the wrong ice cream that had nuts in it. Fortunately we caught it. Free internet access but it isn't secure but you can use it to watch streaming platforms the 2 sinks was helpful and the cabinet holding the towels was a nice touch overall, each hotel staff was nice and helpful

Areas of Improvement: -there was no information given at check-in about the hotel like where the gym is and how to access it, where is laundry room, I was verbally told about the pools and restaurant but I forgot. I recommend a handout with this information on it like the parking handout that they give or post it on the elevators, in the rooms, and around the building. -Security: the doors in my building to the hotel stay open and anyone can enter and get on the elevator which is probably because of the restaurant that is open until 2a. I would suggest making either the entrance or the elevator accessible via the room keys after 2a (note: I was coming in at 4a and the doors were open). Also, make the Wi-Fi secure. -Restaurant- we took the steps to the 2nd floor and there was no signage indicating which room was the restaurant, would recommend adding something but you see it when you get off the elevator. It says "open". -the Exercise room has a door that you have to go to the office and get a key to use. I couldn't see the room so I didn't know what type of equipment they had and if it would be worth all the hassle. I recommend a glass door that locks so you can see in. Also if I was in there, I wouldn't feel safe not being able to see who was coming in. the rooftop patio areas are a nice touch but would recommend some chained patio chairs and patio lights even solar ones to make it more inviting.

Overall it was a good place to stay for the price. It looks like they may still be renovating. I would suggest adding a game room near the restaurant in the old office space. I would recommend this hotel especially if you want a decent place to lay your head that is located near everything so you can enjoy and spend most of your time out at the beach. I would probably...

Picture is from the balcony in our room.

To start off with, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. There are things you should know though if you stay here. If you want to be on the beach, the location is perfect! You are also within easy walking distance to a large number of restaurants and other tourist shopping choices.

About the hotel and room: our room was on the 6th floor and faced the ocean. It had a balcony and a small kitchenette along with 2 beds. The bathroom was typical for a hotel room and the room had a table with three chairs. The stove was an apartment sized stove and was very clearly dated with chips etc in the enamel. It did work though for heating up some lunches and frozen food items. The fridge was full sized. The sink was just a single bar size sink, so that made it difficult to wash the dishes. There were very basic cooking pots and pans and utensils. You wouldn’t want to cook a gourmet meal there, but it was perfect for what we wanted- a place to make a decent breakfast and lunch. We never planned on cooking dinner there and explored the areas restaurants instead for dinners. There weren’t enough settings for four and nothing matched, but again, we weren’t there to host a dinner party. The room also had a 12 cup coffee pot and a full sized microwave and a toaster (which we had to ask for but was delivered right away). The stuff I didn’t like: The door to our balcony needed some serious weather stripping applied. One day we had some high mph wind blowing in from the ocean. You could feel it blowing in around the top and sides of the balcony door. All that air coming in through that door had to go out somewhere and it went out around the door to the hallway. This made a huge whooshing and whistling sound that I found really annoying but could not find a way to resolve. Not a huge deal when you’re out on the beach all day, but when the wind blows hard all night long it tends to get on the really really annoying side of things. Also, the ocean noise is constant, which I found relaxing, but others in our group found annoying. Either of these things may not be an issue on the rooms facing away from the ocean. The other thing I found annoying was the sand. Yeah, I know it’s on the beach and sand is to be expected. But there are no outdoor showers to rinse off close by and all that sand gets tracked up to the room. The room floors were vinyl planking and tile so all the sand falls off in your room and sticks to bare feet. There was no broom in the room or laundry area, but the front desk would give you one if you asked. It would have been really nice to have a broom in the room or down the hall in the laundry or ice machine room so you could sweep up the sand. Daily housekeeping service: there is none. The housekeeping staff would leave a plastic bag with clean towels outside your door daily. You were to put you dirty towels and the garage bag from your garbage can outside the door in the hallway and they would pick it up. They did monitor this really well as I put garbage outside one night about 7 and it was picked up by 9. Just know the staff won’t be in your room anytime during your stay. The hot tubs and pools weee all fine and seemed to be well taken care of as did the gym. If you actually read this far, I would stay there again when I was in Myrtle Beach, hands down, no second thoughts. The staff was friendly, the location great, and the...

My wife and I took two grandchildren for a 6-night stay. We reserved an oceanfront room with two queen beds and kitchen. Certain parts of our stay were great, while other parts were well in need of improvement. ||Check-in: Easy, smooth, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Couldn't have asked for staff to be any nicer.||Room: It appeared some remodeling and upgrading had been done. Flooring was nice and it looked like some painting had been done. Bed frames and mattress appeared to be fairly new and was very comfortable. Bedding was very clean and fresh. Balcony was good, except for the pigeon poop that apparently been on the chair a while. But, after walking around for bit barefooted, the bottoms of our feet were solid black. Had housekeeping come and sweep, but that didn't help. I'm not sure what the issue with the flooring was, but we keep cleaning and cleaning the floor and our feet, but the sole's of our feet would return to being black after walking around a bit.||Kitchen was extremely small with virtually no counter space to work. After checking the cabinets, there were not enough plates/bowls/eating utensils for a service of four. I did return to the office and asked for additional plate wear and they did send up a new set of plates and bowls. We just bought plastic utensils because after a couple of days, I was tired of asking for different things. Besides, it was less to wash.||The cooking wear was nothing to write home about. Frying pans were left greasy and dirty. No dishwasher, so they had to be hand scrubbed prior to use. The smoke detector was placed within the same area so even if you made a piece of toast (that did not burn), the smoke detector activated. Try cooking bacon and you'll spend more time fanning the smoke detector to keep it from piercing your ears than attending to the bacon.||There were not enough bath towels/hand towels/or wash rags for four. So, another trip to the office to secure more. Housekeeping was atrocious throughout the entire time and daily trips to the office became routine to get towels and other supplies (TP, dish rags, etc.) ||Housekeeping is supposed to pick up the trash and used towels that we bagged up and set outside our door each day and drop off replacements. They picked everything up, but four out of the six days they never delivered replacements. The other two days, they didn't replace the appropriate supply, so daily trips to the office to supplement the towels and trash bags and other necessities were needed. As if that wasn't bad enough, not one single time was an apology issued. The staff was nice and got what was needed, but nothing was ever said about checking into the cause of my "housekeeping skipped us again" routine. It almost became a joke.||The location is great and front desk staff was fine, but their lack of concern to the housekeeping issues, housekeeping's total lack of commitment to customer service, no apologies, and almost lackadaisical attitude towards the shortages will probably not bring me back to this...

I just returned from a 5 night stay with my husband and 3 children for spring break. We enjoyed our stay overall, but you should understand what you are signing up for with this (and many other) lower priced waterfront hotels in myrtle beach. The hotel itself is a limited service, aging facility. The hallways and elevators are very old looking with chipped paint, cracked tile and flooring, etc. They were cleaned daily but would be wet and messy most of the time because of people coming through from the pool or beach. There was frequently candy wrappers from the vending machines thrown on the floor....that type of stuff. We were pleasantly surprised by our room which, while dated, was impeccably clean with a fresh coat of paint on the walls, new linens on all of the beds, clean furniture, refrigerator, stove, etc. The kitchen supplies appeared to be mostly mismatched stuff that other guests had left behind but it was all clean and I had everything I needed to cook a few meals in the room since we were travelling on a budget. There is a food lion supermarket a few miles away and they deliver via instacart if you don't have a car with you. So back to the hotel, the only time I ever saw an employee was in the registration office and when I looked around for someone when I needed toilet paper for the room. This didn't surprise me as I knew that it was a limited service hotel. The staff that I did interact with were courteous and quick to meet my needs. They have a cafe on the 2nd floor that was reasonably priced, clean and the food was good. The hours are limited but the nice young lady who was running the place said that they are looking to extend the hours if they have the demand. The indoor lazy river looks a bit less grand in person than the photos on the website but it was clean, loaded with chlorine and it met our needs. The outdoor pool heater was broken so we didn't swim in it due to the cool weather. It is no frills and on the street side of the hotel, but it looked clean and well kept. The view and the sound of the ocean are the best part of the hotel. I highly recommend spending the money on the oceanfront rooms with balconies, it's not that much more money than the street view and it makes a huge difference in my opinion. My in laws stayed on the street side so I got to see what they were missing. Their street side room was not spruced up as nicely as our oceanfront room. Overall, it was a good deal for the price point. Many of the hotels that were twice the price didn't appear to be much nicer. The prices at the new construction hotels were really high during spring break, same with the chain hotels. I would probably stay here again if I get to myrtle beach again while my kids are still young. The 2 bedroom suite was comfortable for my family of 5. It is similar to 2 small hotel rooms connected by a galley kitchen. Oh! One last thing, the location is perfect. A few minutes walk to downtown but far enough from the noise and crowded beaches.

I stayed here on spring break 4/19 - 4/23 with my 12 yr old son based on my google research. I chose this hotel based on the convenient location walking distance to the boardwalk, indoor pool/lazy river, and PRICE. I selected the 1 bedroom ocean view efficiency (stove/fridge). I paid a total of $604 with only a $36 total resort fee. So I am writing this review for the benefit of potential customers. This is not a new hotel, so do not expect features/amenities of new hotel. There was no daily room service. Towels were provided daily, and you can always contact the front desk. In case you did not read the details like many other reviewers: 1. Breakfast is not included 2. If you did not pay for an ocean view room, you will not get one 3. Smoking is not allowed anywhere including balconies. The bad: outdoor pool is not huge, and can get busy quickly. 2. This is Myrtle Beach, expect a Myrtle Beach crowd (noisy cars, strange people..). The good: 1. The people at the front desk were helpful, pleasant, and did not have attitude whatsoever. 2. I never had any problems with waiting on the elevator. 3. I had no problem with noise, or falling asleep 9 - 11pm. 4. Great location right next to the beach, walking distance from restaurants and the boardwalk. 4. There were 3 or 4 parking lots directly across the street. Yes they are across the street, but there are crosswalks, people drive slowly due to a noticeable police presence. It was very close and never had any problem finding a spot. 5. It is a great value. Lower room fees. Minimal resort fee of $36 for 4 nights unlike ridiculous made up fees at other hotels. Bonuses: 1. I do not recommend eating at Sharky's. Food was not great. 2. I recommend eating at Coconut Charlie's Pool bar and grill. It is located on the 3rd floor of the Homewood Suites hotel. Super close. Indoor or outdoor beach view seating. Kids menu. Prices were very reasonable. It is not visible from the street so it was not busy at all. 3. If you want to have a fun dinner with family, eat at the Hangout. Very lively and fun! Make reservations early as they fill quickly. 4. It is $15 to buy 1 dragon breath on the boardwalk. These are the cereal balls frozen with liquid nitrogen so you breathe like a dragon. No price listed. Let your kids do it once in their life, and they can share if you have more than one. 5. Ocean temperature is cool/cold in April. Outside temps were 72 - 82, but water was a little cold for swimming. 6. I booked this hotel because it has a lazy river, but we never went. It is very small, and I didn't care to mingle with the people there. Even though I didn't use it, I would 100% stay here again. 7. As mentioned earlier, we had a full fridge and a oven/stove. I bought water, snacks, breakfast at nearby Walmart, and I made breakfast everyday and ate out for lunch and dinner.

Trending Stays Worth the Hype in Myrtle Beach

Find a cozy hotel nearby and make it a full experience.
