This was absolutely one of the WORST visits I’ve EVER had to Myrtle Beach! This condo establishment is AWFUL!!!! The parking is across the street and terrible! You can hear every word your neighbors say from room to room. The floors in the condo are sticky and nasty! The furniture is old and banged up. The first day here there were a ton of trashy people staying here! That’s putting it mildly. While in the pool we noticed a large turd floating up. We immediately got out and then observed several more turds floating. We had to notify three people before a security guard came over. She didn’t tell people to get out. She just scolded a guy for having a vape. There were also people throwing things off of the balcony as well as repeatedly spitting down into the pool and hot tub. This one stand up retired Marine got up and yelled at them. They continued. Finally security did something about it a while later. There was a black and mild cigar that had come open in the hot tub along with the wrapper floating all in it. Every pool and hot tub was disgusting! I then went to our room and called the desk. I asked to speak to the highest person in charge, and I was transferred to the general manager. I told him what had happened at the pool and he said he was unaware of it and had just found out. I told him we absolutely would not be using any of the pools and hot tubs for the two day we had left. They roped off the ONE pool for less than 24 hours and we never saw anyone cleaning or adding chemicals. It was open the next morning. My experience with pools and a code brown is they have to be treated and cleaned and closed for at least 24 hours. The manager said he would refund my stay after I requested it. I then had to call the third party booking company and file a claim. They then had to contact this establishment and tell them so they could officially refund my money at the end of my stay. The next night, I was trying to sit on the balcony with my wife and enjoy the peace of the ocean for our 22nd anniversary, but all we could hear was loud mariachi music coming from the pool area, where one guy was down there drunk, blaring his music. I called the desk and asked him to send somebody down to have him turn his music down so we could hear each other talk, but that never happened. When I went to check out, David, the general manager I previously talked to refused to refund our money. He said because we stayed two more nights he wasn’t refunding us. In our original discussion I told David I had to talk with my wife to see if we were leaving or just gonna tough it out the two nights remaining. He told me to contact booking.com and have them contact the resort and they would refund my money. Nothing was said about if we don’t leave immediately we don’t get refunded that conversation never took place. When I went to check out and confronted him about the refund, he got in my face, within a foot of my face and yelled at me. He stated I’m tired of people lying to me and about me. What does that tell you? It tells me there have probably been multiple people complaining, probably about the same things. He says they are the ones lying. He literally just told on himself. He’s probably the one that is lying. After the way he got in my face and yelled at me like a five-year-old, It’s pretty clear he is the one with the problem and very unprofessional for a general manager. I will be contacting the department of health and people above him to get further resolution on this terrible issue. Thanks for ruining our trip David. Absolutely STAY AWAY from this...

I'm going to give this place an honest review bc I truly hope someone reads this and it saves them the heartache of wasting their time and money on this dump. First of all, there's a lot of false advertising about this place, so don't believe everything you've read about it on their website. They do NOT have breakfast, nor a restaurant in the hotel, nor 55" flatscreens in the rooms. They will tell you it's all not offered due to covid- but only inform you of this when you go to the front desk to ask since you can't find it- but none of the staff wear masks, and no one enforces the 6 ft distance- they need a better excuse than covid.

Second, when we booked we were given a much lower fee. Then when we checked in, 2 hours after we were told several times check in was at 12 but it's not folks, it's 2pm earliest, the fee skyrocketed. If we hadn't driven 11 hours and waited for the room to be available we would have turned around at that point. We canceled our previous booking bc Sandy Beach offered "so much more" than other places at a better rate. They'll tell you the cleaning fee is added due to covid, yet another thing not advertised.

Third, the place is absolutely disgusting. I had to buy cleaning supplies and a floor mop bc the unit we had was beyond, what was pictured on the website. Our entire family was sick 2 days after checking in. We couldn't understand it....until the night before we were leaving. Cockroaches made their appearance in the room. We called front desk several times, but no one answered- by the way it says they're staffed 24/7 but they're not. My husband went down and checked. We had to throw out food and quite honestly I just wanted to throw all of our belongings out at that point but I'm sure they would have added on another fee if we left everything behind. When we checked out we didn't even bother saying anything to the rude lady behind the desk, bc quite frankly the staff sucked overall. Which leads me to my fourth point...

They do not have room service or housekeeping: they will tell you they do, but we were sick and didn't leave for room for days, and not one knock from anyone asking if we needed cleaning. My husband called the front desk.... No answer. He went to the desk and waited and finally spoke to someone who brought up all the towels we could have imagined, one fitted sheet, and one regular sheet. No toilet paper. No new comforters. We had 2 queen sized beds, after sanitizing everything we stripped the beds and made do.

Fifth, they will not quiet down the loud, rowdy guests at 2-4 am. They will let them run and scream at all hours of the night, so if you have children, they will be woken up as ours were. Every. Single. Night.

Sixth, do not listen to the front desk staff when they tell you parking is close to the hotel. It is not. And if it weren't for the one police officer telling my husband to move, we would have been towed- and paid a hefty fine.

I hate leaving bad reviews about places, bc everyone is struggling but I've never in my life had to buy toilet paper, cleaning supplies, sanitizing supplies and dealt with cockroaches from a hotel. The pools aren't cleaned, and like someone else said in a previous review, the sand on the beach is like razor blades from the shells- which isn't the hotels fault, but it's not enjoyable by any means. I have pictures of the filth in the room, the cockroaches etc. And I will keep sharing this everywhere bc they need to completely renovate this place or let it go altogether. People spend a nice chunk of change on this dump and they...

I like to be completely honest in my reviews so let’s go! I booked thru third party so when we arrived I was told they did not send over the deluxe room but standard. Therefore my teens had to share beds. Hotel was booked per front desk and moving was not an option only choice was to cancel and move to another hotel which I seriously contemplated! Late night young man who checked us in was nice enough but wasn’t very helpful just says park across street and didn’t know gym hours had to ask someone who gave us wrong time that it opened but upon our check that night we were able to just walk right on in so safety issue there. 2.Although not the room I booked the unit was very clean but extremely dated! It’s time to replace furniture guys. I sat on couch and sank down :( Kitchen cabinets peeling and stainless fridge looked like the steel peeled off but it was just worn out! Basic everything! Doors were scuffed up could use a fresh paint job. Did have new flooring in front part of condo but hallway area upon entry is older tile. Bed was ok but by 4th night my back was hurting and there isn’t a comforter just a bedspread type of cover but it did the job. Lamps and hotel phone old but it worked because they let me know my girls music was too loud one night lol! Washcloths and towels not plush but hey we brought our own so no worries there! TV’s did work and water was hot!:) kitchen did have basics but no sample coffees etc so bring in all your groceries and if you plan on cooking heavy bring in additional cooking utensils which is understandable I guess? I didn’t cook so it worked for us the 4 days we were there. If you like to work out in a gym with lots of equipment this isn’t the place for you gym was narrow and no free weights that’s not a bad thing just letting my gym rats know because we found a gym nearby that accommodated our workout routine! Halls smelled funny and someone was clearly smoking cigarettes on our floor. Smoke doesn’t bother me just letting those who are sensitive to smells know halls smelled moldy. Location … close to everything so if you don’t have a car you can walk to family kingdom sky wheel and downtown area if that’s your thing. Parking is across street in a pay parking lot so you may end up with no space depending on time you get in at night especially on weekend night. It felt safe enough but I prefer garage. There was an older security guard there only saw him early in day not sure how protective he could be as he was older fellow but still he was there. Pool is small but did have play area for kids just small and packed Overall employees were nice enough and lady at front desk the next morning was more professional than the young guy that night for sure! He was cool just young and didn’t seem to pressed to accommodate very matter of fact about things😑 again rooms are dated and didn’t give that welcome feel that I like and even though Expedia messed up my room per hotel staff I was glad I didn’t pay the hotel prices when it was all over with! I won’t stay here again as it’s not my type of place I’m used to a more resort feel that this didn’t provide but again it was cleaned top to bottom and had it not been for that I would have left the first night for sure! Gives off 1998 vibes not 2022!...
