Mama Mia Pizzeria (Myrtle Beach – Ocean Blvd. North) — Restaurant in Myrtle Beach

So before i get into reviewing the food here, i think it's important to give a little back story. 5 years ago, my husband and I were visiting Myrtle Beach for a little getaway. One day right before my lunch, ny husbands sugar dropped pretty low very fast (this was a nrw thing for him and we werent realky sure qhat was wrong qith him at the time). The pizzeria wasnt actually open yet, but the doors were open as they were about to open in the next 10 minutes. We stepped inside and i sat my husband down, as he thought he was going to pass out. I went and asked if i could get some water and this lady who i think was the owner or part owner, brought him a water, some fresh cut pepperoni, bread, and a cookie. She was very concerned and so helpful. She personally made us our pizza right away. After we ate and rested some, my husband felt much better and we went on about our way. We were blown away by how kind this place had been to us and how much they seemed to care about some strangers.

Fast forward to yesterday, we came back for another quick getaway and decided to revisit this place and continue to show our appreciation for their business because of their act of kindness 5 years ago. This local pizzeria tastes AMAZING. THE BEST HOMEMADE MARINARA SAUCE I HAVE EVER TASTED! The pizza was fresh and hot when it was delivered in less than 30 (on a saturday at 8pm) and it was appropriately sized for the price. I reccomend adding gouda cheese in addition to mozzarella. It gives it just that extra authentic taste! We love this place for the price, the taste, their service, and IT'S LOCAL! We will continue to eat here everytime we come to Myrtle...

Worst experience ever. Ordered pizza our first night in Myrtle Beach because we didn’t want to go out after a 10 hour drive. The pizza was incorrect when delivered, so I called to have it fixed. The manager that night was very apologetic and went out his way to make it right. So I thought we would give them another chance the last night of our vacation. Big mistake.

I ordered online and then called to confirm the order. 1/2 supreme no green peppers, 1/2 sausage only. The guy that I talked to said he would confirm that it was correct with the kitchen and that there should be no issues. The pizza arrived and was all supreme. So I call again to have it corrected. Talked to 3 different people, one guy said they would fix it and that my instructions weren’t clear enough (you know “no green peppers, half sausage only”) and that he would get a replacement out. I told him to just do all sausage - since i didn’t need a 1.5 supreme pizzas. He said that he would have to talk to his manager to make sure that I could keep the pizza in front of me.

Cue the next guy (who I’m assuming is the manager) who said that they would make the pizza all sausage, that my instructions were vague and that instead of arguing about it he was just going to send it out and that I could do whatever I wanted with the pizza I had there.

I can’t believe how rude this guy was for their error. It isn’t my fault that their staff can’t follow simple directions. Will post this everywhere that I can to make sure that others aren’t treated as...

I can honestly say this was my worst food service experience. It started with our order not bringing put in when placed. After an hour and a half wait I called to check on the status of our delivery. I was told that the deliver guy would be here shortly. Another 45 minutes later I called again and was told that our order was never entered into the system and would be rushed to us within 20 minutes. Another hour later I called for a 3rd time and was told yet again it would be here any minute. I told the hostess that we had been waiting for around 2 and a half hours for the order and was hung up on. When I called back and asked to speak to a manager I was greeted with TERRIBLE customer service. I was told that they were too busy and that our delivery driver would be there soon. I explained that I understood the reason for slow service but NEVER understand the reason for poor customer service. I absolutely cannot believe the lack of customer service this manager had. In the end we were told that our delivery driver would be told to turn around and that we would have our order refunded however that has not happened. Please please be aware of this! The pizza may be wonderful however the wait time and what we had to deal with was...
