Day shift employees were wonderful (especially front desk staff and housekeeping). I had issues with our door key needing reprogrammed multiple times a day and the day shift front desk staff didn’t act annoyed once. Same with housekeeping I asked them for towels daily and not one person ever acted like I was inconveniencing them for doing their job (which is saying ALOT nowadays) Room itself was very dirty upon arrival. Our crawling baby was covered black head to toe. I swept and vacuumed (with our own personal Milwaukee shop vac) everyday we stayed there (I even got on my hands and knees and wiped the floor with a hot soapy rag) and the floors were STILL black. Also I saw in someone else’s review the paint was chipping, it was in our room too. There’s paint splattered everywhere: the bathroom has mold growing on the ceiling: there was a dead moth in our bathroom light. The balcony door barely opened. I’m 105lbs and it took every oz of strength I had to open the balcony door every time we went in and out. Everytime you open the hallway door and have the balcony open the kitchen doors both slam shut which means there’s negative air pressure. I had to have our key cards reprogrammed about 50 times while we were there. One of the employees kept telling us that they weren’t programming the door keys for long enough? We originally booked from 6/8/25-6/15/25 but ended up adding on a day. Night shift employees are very rude. I was told 2 times before 10pm laundry closed at 11pm. I again was met by a gentlemen who told me I could finish up my laundry in the dryer and shut the light out and pull the door closed to the laundry room. 30 min later another guy came by the door and was very rude: told me the laundry closed an hour ago: I told him the gentleman next door said I could finish and close up and he told me “that wasn’t his decision”. I didn’t hear from him again. The laundry room door would barely close as it was but I finally got it shut. I saw that same gentleman by the check in desk doors so I stopped to assure him that I had gotten the light shut off and the door shut. He then again told me the laundry closes at 11pm. Another woman who I had never seen chimed in and asked me what room number I was in “to which. I asked why she needed to know that information and she responded “to make sure you’re actually a guest.” Like really? I just paid over $1300 to stay here for a week but no I’m lying and just using your shitty laundry room that’s falling apart with two dryers and two washers that barely function. If you’re looking for a beach stay on a budget this is it: we stayed a few years ago (2 years I believe so in 2023) and we had a better experience. The building could use a lot of repairs and remodeling. The night shift staff could always use a course on common courtesy and communication skills. The location and balcony views are what keep this place in business. If they would put some of the money they earn from customers back into maintaining the building and grounds this facility could easily be a 4 star hotel. But instead in its current condition it is it’s a 2-3 star at best. I booked online directly on the hotel website for the best price, it ended up being cheaper than Expedia and we got the “managers special” since we booked more than 4-5 days I believe.

BEWARE!!!! Upon first walking in the lady at the front desk was rude and rolled her eyes when we gave her the name to check in. She asked if my husband and I both were 25. MY HUSBAND IS 25, I am 2 months shy of 25. She immediately tells us she cannot check us in where I am 24. We explain that the reservation is listed under my husband’s name as he is 25, and he is the one checking in. Again, let me stress that the reservation is listed under my husbands name, he is the person checking in, and HE IS 25. She told us there’s nothing she can do and we will need to dispute with booking. I explain to her that nowhere in the ‘Important Information’ or ‘Property Policies’ does it state that GUESTS have to be 25 as well. I showed her this on booking and she cut me off and said “Hold on!! I’m going to shower you!!”. She pulls it up on her side of her computer to which it says on her side that there is no age requirement. She then says “well that’s not right. Someone must have changed that.”. She then started typing on the computer quickly, which I can only assume was to change it to save herself and backtrack. We ask about what if people have children..? She stated they only allow families and married couples to stay. Okay, if that is the case then why allow children of all guests must be 25 ‘per policy’? Secondly, my husband and I ARE married and can provide proof. She did not listen and did not offer any type of solution. She stated even if it might not show this on Booking, that it states it on the door. I’m sorry but during this day and age people are booking reservations online and this seems like a very important thing that should be listed on Booking since it was such a strict policy that she did not even offer a solution, even for the night. After driving 9 hours to get here and it was nearly midnight, she did not even offer a solution or even an ounce of empathy. She did not even apologize. We asked for a manager to which she stated “you’re talking to her”. A man who was in the office with her walked out with my husband and I and said he is on our side and that we should come back and speak with a man named Jared. When she seen him talking to us she yelled at him to come back inside. We were forced to find another hotel for the night. We were lucky to find one considering that it was well after midnight after this whole ordeal. Thankfully Booking was kind and cancelled our reservation and will be processing a refund. Overall this was a completely unprofessional and unacceptable experience. This could have been completely avoided if they had listed on their website that GUESTS must be 25, not just the person who holds the reservation. And whoever this lady is needs some serious customer service training!!!!!

(March)- overall- will not be back. The Cons: Noisy, noisy, noisy. It's 4:00am and I still haven't slept in 2 days. Hoping I can stay awake for my drive home. You hear everything. The street, cars, people on the street or in other rooms, pipes, toilets in next room, doors, footsteps..you name it.This is motel quality, not a hotel. Parking on-site is very limited. The hot tub is majorly chipped and will probably cut your skin or rip your bathing suit. I am in a 2 room non smoking suite with cigarette burns all along the tub. Hair was in my shower. Also, a coffee maker in the kitchenette... But no coffee essentials for it. No shampoos or hairdryer. Doesn't exactly feel like a safe area. I liked it better north of the Sky Wheel. The Pros: Coffee set up in the office. Right on the beach and 6th floor has a great view. Price is reasonable. Indoor/outdoor pool. 2 room suite has 2 queens, a sofa bed and a Murphy bed. The queens had plastic over mattresses. The Murphy did not. I did not see any bedbugs or roaches and desperately hoping I don't by the time I check out. 2 rm suite is good if you have a large family. Plus, still room for a playpen too. Kitchenette is stocked with essentials. The living room and bedroom both have TV's. Cons outweigh the pros.

I used the internet to search for a hotel due to the weather being gorgeous for March |We chose Windsurfer Motel based on the preferences I had entered. I included indoor pool elevator updated rooms WiFi and convenient to local attractions |The search turned up 5 accommodations. We had previously stayed at the Windsurfer. As stated all amenities were searched for and showed up at Windsurfer. So I proceeded to choose the motel. First off, after entering all of my information and paying the $33 per night the booking dite offered, I was shocked to be told the $66 and change I had been charged was only one nights stay. I checked my email and sure enough the motel had added a $50 fee to the cost. |My husband and I agreed it was still reasonable so we paid the additional night. We’ve now paid $132.56 for what we thought was $66.47 in total |It had doubled! |I have heart issues and cannot climb stairs which was specific reason for searching for elevator. Our room was in an old building. This is a 2-story non-elevator building |We each had one bag and of course the extras you bring such as room snacks a jacket a shoe bag and toiletries. I had to climb these stairs carrying my luggage and two smaller cases. When we were told we would be in this building I immediately attempted to negotiate going to the new building with elevator. The desk clerk boldly stated “you paid for a cheap room and that is the room that we have given you.” Although exasperated I held my cool. I then asked about pool hours. She stated pool was not open; it was being worked on. I am rather upset at this time. I cannot believe that so much I searched for and was told was available was there but unavailable to us! My husband wanted to make a fuss. I told him let’s just go up to room and rest. It was only two nights after all. |Upon entering the room I was a bit happier. I saw a kitchenette which was fabulous. Coffee pot and microwave so I was feeling better. |We got into the room. Where the spot had been to hang clothes a refrigerator had been installed. So I laid out our clothes that I normally would have hung up.my husband went into the bathroom and immediately called me. I thought what now? The door to the bathroom would not close. It was either hung poorly or due to atmosphere it had swollen and would not close. Great! Everyone needs bathroom|Privacy. Anyway it was a very quaint bathroom. I loved the fact shelving had been installed and there were complimentary shampoo and soaps. There is an iron here but no irons no board. I assumed you’d use the small dinette sized table to iron in. No biggie. I didn’t need to iron anyway |Well I turn my attention to tub. Planning to run a nice warm bath I was astonished to see the tiling around tub had black on it. I am thinking mold but when I looked closer it was a black sealant which just looked nasty. I’ll shower quickly but not sitting in that thing with all the patching that tub has endured. Just going to pray we don’t fall through it as it definitely does not promote a secured place to trust|The a/c was on. That was nice but I knew I’d be freezing soon. The unit was above the refrigerator! Only way to access it was to stand ins chair and on my top toes reach up to almost to ceiling and change the temp. By this time I feel my heart fluttering. I knew it was time to sit down. Most accommodations we stay in today have coffee pods or envelopes if they provide a coffee pot. I searched and realized the pot was there but no coffe. I am NOT going down and back up those steps until I have to go eat |Anyway the final blow was the patio door. To open or close you must actually lift the door due to the bottom tracks being bent much the door cannot slide |I’m very disappointed in this accommodation and wil never return here to stay. |This was once such a beautiful place to stay. In the actual motel it probably still is |We rate this stay a 1 star. Only because it’s clean and the...

I booked online directly on the hotel website for the best price, it ended up being cheaper than Expedia and we got the “managers special” since we booked more than 4-5...
