My wife ordered on their website for pickup but couldn't find the place (it's inside Mama Mia's). She was frustrated after not seeing signs or anything for it, walking around in the dark as a tourist in a strange land, so when she tried calling for help and was immediately put on hold, she just gave up and came back to our cottage.
Like an hour later, I received a call I didn't recognize so I ignored it. It called again and I ignored. Then I received a text asking if we had ordered food (apparently she used my number). It was Jody from Beach Burger who offered to deliver the food to us and offered to compensate us for our trouble. I told him that wasn't necessary, but if he'd be willing to deliver that we'd appreciate it. He was here in 5 minutes or less and had put some cheesecake in our order. He apologized again and wouldn't accept an extra tip.
Look, the food had been sitting under the warmer for an hour, it was still warm but a little soft from sitting. Regardless the food was actually pretty tasty. I'm sure it would have been great fresh. It was also the cheapest meal we've had in Myrtle Beach ($53 for four meals and 2...
Read moreDrove around in circles looking for this place. Its "inside of Mama Mias Pizza" - aka this IS Mama Mia's Pizza.
I'm tired of this janky trend in Myrtle Beach where restaurants create 2,3, and 4 different names because they get bad reviews under each one. I checked into my hotel and had 3 different menus under the door. After googling found out they were from the same place, just different names. Looks like Mama Mia does this too. Corny.
My Buffalo Chicken Sandwich turned out to be a piece of poorly fried chicken fillet (like the frozen chicken you can buy in packs at grocery stores) on a Ballpark Hamburger bun (i know the over processed white bread taste of Ballpark buns)with a piece of Kraft Yellow Cheese melted on top (I know it was Kraft because it wasn't really melted- it was a smooth rubber square on top of the chicken.)
I'm positive the only reason they stay in business is because they are open later than anyone else and non-locals like me are unaware and decide to go by the good reviews. Being the only option at certain hours has gotten them far, because the food literally left a bad taste...
Read moreAbsolutely awesome experience!!! We were vacationing at myrtle beach and looking for delivery at 1am. Saw this local place and it seemed delicious. They deliver and the process of ordering was so easy and straightforward! They called to confirm my room number at my hotel .Delivery was expected at 1:45, got a knock on the door at 1:08, SUPER FAST-as it was 1am but pretty happily surprised. They sell 2 liter drinks which was awesome as we were super thirsty and could drink off it for a couple days. We opened the food trays and the burgers were prepared open-faced so the hot meat and the cold veggies were separate so they would stay their own temps, so considerate! Not many places do that at all. Fries were a little salty for our tastes but great fries! They provide ketchup, mustard, and mayo packets so you can choose what you wish! We also got a cookies and cream shake which was quite delicious. All around awesome experience!!!!!! Definitely recommend for sure if you're in...
