Came here on June. 24, 2025. We live here and we have the season passes, we just started coming after we get off work to bring our children in the afternoons. Usually when we come the lifeguards don’t really say much, if you ask them a question they can be rude or act like it’s an inconvenience. Most of them look like teenagers. So as a mother of five children ages 20,18,15,11,and 9. I totally get that’s just how kids are nowadays. It’s the new generation. BUT today on 06/24/2025 I came across a lovely lifeguard at the lazy river by the name of Morgan!! This young lady was absolutely sweet and respectful to each and every person she talked too! She engaged with every guest, she made sure everyone had tubes or knew that they could float around the lazy river until one came available. She helped people of all ages, and races. It was also this young lady’s birthday !!! We over heard life guards telling her happy birthday. Sooo after floating around the lazy river and meeting a bunch of other people we all made a 35 person train as we floated around. We stopped everyone and told them it was her birthday and we all needed to say it as we went by!!! And to my surprise all these strangers that we never have seen before all came together to tell her happy birthday and sing a quick song for her!!! She actually teared up and was so thankful!! What a beautiful young lady she is!!! So before I left yesterday I wanted to let a manager know about my experience with her. Because as a business owner here myself in Myrtle Beach, it’s rare to get compliments, usually it’s the bad stuff you here. So I wanted to make sure they know what a wonderful asset she is !!! And I wanted to get in here in hopes that people will see this and even maybe Morgan herself or maybe her parents!!! Because as a business owner, mother of five children and as a guest in the water park…. She made us feel like she had knew us our whole lives!! She was like this towards everyone!!! The world needs more people like her!!! So to Morgan’s parents, you did an amazing job raising this young lady!! Morgan, keep up with that wonderful attitude and grace !!! And Myrtle waves, please recognize this young lady for doing her job and doing it with happiness, grace, respect and dignity!!! And on the last note, this water park is soooo fun!!! We love it here!!!

Visited the park on 8/26/20 with a group of 9, adults and children. Rented one of their large cabanas ($137 with tax), 2 senior, 2 child, and 5 adult passes ($238 with tax). Add in a few overpriced food and drink purchases and we're at close to $400 spent for 6 hours of essentially only being able to use the Saturation Station (Which wasn't even fully open).

With the purchase of the cabana we were told we would be given 4 souvenir cups with 99 cent refills, 4 bottled waters, and we were given 2 souvenir buckets with 1 free popcorn voucher each. Once arriving at our cabana, there were no drink cups to be found, instead we were told they were sold out. Fair enough, we should still be able to get at least 4, 99 cent drinks right? Not quite, we were then told at 2 different snack stations that because we didn't have souvenir cups (That did not exist) we could not get any drinks at that price.

Our group intentionally picked the date we went because the weather was going to be great, which it was. Yet after paying full price to enter the park, we came to find that multiple slides were closed, and Saturation Station was half closed because apparently 2 life guards just isn't enough to cover what is essentially a large playground with water. On top of that the slides that were open were being "guarded" by some college-aged kids that probably didn't know where they were. They offered no assistance with anyone going down the slides, no direction on how to do it safely, at best you would hear a muffled "Go" from behind their mask (At least they were doing that right). You had children diving down the slides head first, backwards, multiple people at at time etc. When my wife dared to ask in the wave pool where we could get a tube for our daughter to float on, the life guard muscled up the strength to tell us we had to "Win them". Whatever the hell that means.

We ended our fateful day by stopping by the customer service area to at least talk to someone over the age of 18. Thinking maybe we could at least air our frustrations to someone that might care, maybe we could get a small refund, or a glimmer of hope that this place is ran like an actual business and not a county fair. Sadly our efforts were for nothing, the young girl who was supposedly the manager, seemed nice but only offered the excuse that multiple staff had called off or quit and they were understaffed "But thanks for bringing this to our attention".

All jokes aside the bottom line is this. This place is outdated, in need of a major face lift, the bathrooms were disgusting, every hand sanitizing station I went to was empty. No social distancing guidelines were being enforced anywhere, some staff wore a mask, some did not. There were very few flotation devices available, multiple slides closed, customer service was non-existent and they don't even honor their own advertising. If you decide to bring your family here, before you go in, just stand in the parking lot and light your money on fire. Chances are you'll feel better and save yourself from getting sun burnt while...

2023 updated review: Raised from 3stars to 4stars! We had a great time! Even on a bad day in life I had found out that my mom's house in VA had been broken into just hours after arriving at water park. Then my GoPro supposed to be water proof got water inside of it while in the wave pool. Even after all this I had the best time ever at a water park. I ran to Walmart got another gopro so I could get some footage on the slides. I did and you can see the awesome videos on my YouTube channel (search my name).

The same negatives apply. They need more shaded areas for people to get a break from the sun. They need more feet mats to keep feet from getting burned on hot surfaces. We always have this issue as you can't wear your slides or flipflops on the rides. Usually leave them at the bottom of stairs and that has worked so far. They need water fountains! If they have any I didn't see them but I also didn't go looking for them. The price for entry is kinda high but if you plan ahead or know somebody entry can be had for a reduced price. The food as expected is high and average at best no surprise here.

This day wasn't too crowded weekday in July 2023. My kids had a blast and so did I. The wave pool is always fun loved it. #1 The double tube ride (The Rocking Ray) half pipe is extreme drop and super scary fun you gotta see the video of my kids faces and daughters crazy screaming! It's a double tube drop into a half pipe a short but intensely big thrill. The double tube ride toilet bowl is my #2 much less extreme but just as fun.

Also the other water park in Surfside has shut down for good I hear. Expected the crowds would be bad was really not the case wait times all reasonable and by the end of day like 4-6pm it was great very little or no wait at all. Ending this review for now but may return in the future with more of my thoughts. I took extensive footage of the day including all the rides I went on. Look for the full video review on my YouTube channel soon!

3 star Original review July of 2020: It's awfully expensive for what you get. It was $100 for myself my thirteen-year-old son and my nine-year-old daughter. the place needs a few things renovated cleaned up fixed up especially the bathrooms come on. some more places in the shade would be nice to that you don't have to pay for we already paid $100 to get in. is typical you can't bring food and you can't bring drinks and supposedly we brought some in anyway and terrible food at outrageous prices we didn't try it so I can't say for sure. Overall a good experience into the positive but plenty of negatives as well. Would I go back? It's about fifty-fifty odds a coin flip whether I...

This is the place for you if you enjoy water slides with a miserable atmosphere. Or, if you’re a scientist dying to know if copious amounts of chlorine can eliminate the smell of copious amounts of urine. (Spoiler: no.)

Definitely a top ten place to visit if you enjoy burdening others simply by existing. Once you get past the lack of smiles from every staff member, the disdain they seem to have when you try to give them large sums of money, and the inability to find an employee who can answer simple questions without the demeanor of a two-tour combat veteran who has “seen things,” it’s really not that bad of a concrete-and-wet-fiberglass amusement park.

If you pay for a cabana for the day, and expect to utilize the “cabana service” to order food, be sure to order all of your meals at 10am when the park opens. That was perhaps the last time we could find the single cabana server. I’m sure the others were tending to a multitude of cabana-related emergencies throughout the day.

But fear not! If you want to avoid the long lines for food, the park offers mobile ordering. Well, for one restaurant. The many signs around the park let you know that you can “skip the line, order food online.”

I ordered online. Then ended up with approximately forty other people waiting in line. An hour later, as I stood there sun burnt and hungry, I wondered to myself, “I ordered online. But I skipped no line. Why?”

Then I realized that I must have been one of the chosen ones. We were chosen to test the patience and overall mental health of a lone, just-above-minimum-wage, young woman. The others in line must not have realized that we were selected for this very special purpose. They shouted at her, “where’s my food!?!? We ordered online! We’ve been waiting for over an hour!!! Why aren’t you calling out order numbers?”

But this grizzled gen z woman with a ponytail was not the only one being tested. We were clearly the ones to fail the test that day as she told us, “I was calling out numbers! You people weren’t listening! So now I’m just calling out what food I’ve got! That’s on you!”

We failed you. We thought that we wanted our food. We thought that we wanted what we paid for. We thought we wanted to order online and skip the line. We were wrong. We should have wanted whatever random food you were shouting out, whether we ordered it or not.

I’m sorry, angry and understaffed sacrificial teen. If your corporate overlords trusted you to handle dozens of angry customers by yourself instead of properly staffing your restaurant, as well as the rest of the park, then we should have...
