My kids loved this place the moment we got outta the car. When you go in you buy your tickets then they'll take a few group pics and at the end of your tour you have a opportunity to buy them at the gift shop. Prices for the Myrtle Beach area are pretty reasonable at $20 each. After the pics you enter the wax museum. If you have teens like I do that want to pose with every single celebrity inside then be prepared for this to take quite a few hours lol but they had so much fun. They smiled and giggled as they posed with each one so it was very well worth the visit. I seen lots of families with younger kids coming thru and the younger kids seemed to be having a lot of fun too so I'd say it's great for all ages. They definitely have a large variety of different celebrities of all kinds, there should be someone everyone likes inside. After the wax museum tour is Hannah's maza of Mirrors which is geared more for younger kids to have fun making their way thru the maze. My kids are teens so they had it figured out in seconds and then quickly moved into something else. They did love the Lazer lights you can try to cross over without touching them and sounding the alarm. The next thing is the zombie outbreak where the zombies are totally real looking and are right at you. I'm gonna be honest, only my kids went thru this as I have severe kinemortophobia and wasn't even going to attempt it and have a panic attack. But apparently it was pretty scary and real as my 14 year old hurt her toe when a zombie started chasing her. Either way it gave my girls some good scares and laughs so if you're in the Myrtle Beach area with kids of any ages or just really love celebrities then this place is definitely worth visiting. I'll definitely go back again once we're in the area again and see what new...
Read moreWhat an absolute treat! Sure, the Wax Museum had a few statues that had us questioning who the person they represented was... because let's face it a few of the statues a truly a bit off as compared to a counterpart like Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, but none the less the wax museum had props for photos which made taking photos a very interactive and awesome experience. This was something new for us as we have been to a number of wax museums and had never seen the prop set up and that really was cool. For instance a whip and fedora to wear while taking pics with Indiana Jones, or a matching PJ top to take a picture with Hugh Hefner, or a cowboy hat and poncho to take a pic with Clint Eastwood and even a uniform shirt to take a pic with Jean Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) on a transporter beam scene. Absolutely awesome. BUT, the fun didn't stop there... there's also an excellent mirror maze that was a whole lot of fun and better than the usual ones (for instance as compared to the ones at Ripley's) for an additional price. And lastly there's a scary maze with zombies experience that was absolutely the best fun we had on our trip to Myrtle Beach. That's also charged seperately, but it's worth it.
Now, you could bundle all three venues for one price and I can say that my wife, my son and I all truly enjoyed it all and that it was more than worth it. Makes for an excellent day of...
