Update 3/28/25: Went here on Wednesday March 19th 2025 to pick up an order that i ordered online. I had ordered a white checkered wastebasket online that was plastic and easy to carry. It was going to be ready within 2 hours, and it was ready alot earlier, which is good. Walked in and parked. Went to the customer service to pick up my order, with the barcode all ready. The person scanned the barcode, he kind of sighed when I showed him my id, in which it said in the email that they may ask for an id to confirm that it is indeed the person picking up the order. Anyways, after that, he went in the back, and retrieved my item for me. First time picking up something using the target app and it went well. Will definitely be back! update 3/26/25: Went here again on Wednesday March 12th 2025 with my mom and Aunt to pick up a few things that i needed for our new home. We walked in, and immediately went to the home section. We looked at towels, and purchased a aqua blue hand towel and mat, as well as a pink bath towel. We also looked at the home aisles for anything, and brought a hamper. My aunt brought one as well. We also looked at some rugs. We also found some nice yellow pillows for my room. I also brought a lava lamp for my room. We then looked around the store and got sunscreen, my not your mother's curl talk cream, and mouthwash. Store was organized and had an easy time finding everything. then we went to the cashier for checkout: same cashier as last time: i brought my lava lamp, mouthwash, and hair product. spent a total of $44.45. used 2 gift cards, and paid cash. Got some change as well. My mom paid for my pillows, and towels and sunscreen. she paid with a credit card. Store was organized. We will definetely be back soon.
-Went here for the 1st time with my dad and uncle on Monday March 10th 2025. I was there to get the 50 Roku that i wanted. my dad and uncle was there to help me lift it into the truck if i needed. First we entered, and it has a different setup from the one i shop in at NY. The starbucks is in the corner, and actually has seating. The front has the customer service desk and one can see the cashier. They have clothes there, home stuff like lamps, decorations, hampers, and all the stuff one can think of! They have an electronic section. So we walked in, looked around, and at first my dad saw some lightbulbs and decided to buy some for both my new lamp, and a light that was out which was located outside. We also found a pencil sharpener and brought that. And we brought some gorila glue to try to fix some china that cracked. Finally, we went to the electronics section, and long behold, they were out of stock of the tv i wanted. So i decided to order it online, in which they had it. never ordered something online while in the store so fast lol. Recieved that a few days later, and got it set up and i love it. Anyways, my dad paid for the lighbulbs, sharpener, and gorila glue. We went to a cashier who was polite. I used my target circle number and entered it. BTW- Target circle is great because it is free, and if you apply your number, you can get great deals! No deals unfortunately this time, but look out for them! My dad paid via credit card and we then went on our way. Will...
Read moreDear Target Customer Service,
I am writing to share feedback about my recent visit to the Target store located at 1150 Seaboard St, Myrtle Beach.
During my visit, I encountered an issue at checkout where an item, which was advertised as $13.99 on sale, rang up at $19.99. I brought this discrepancy to the attention of Jenn, who was working at the customer service desk. Unfortunately, her initial response was dismissive and made me feel as though I was being accused of attempting to deceive the store. Her body language and tone were unwelcoming, which made the situation uncomfortable.
I tried to resolve the issue by showing Jenn the sale display. Initially, there was some resistance, but once we discovered a discrepancy between similar items, Jenn’s attitude improved. The issue was eventually resolved with the assistance of a manager who processed the price override.
While I understand that mistakes can happen and not all customers are honest, Jenn’s initial response was unnecessarily defensive and accusatory. Scanning the item, then forcefully placing it back and saying it rang up at $19.99 while smirking with a male employee was unnecessary. It would have been more appropriate for Jenn to verify the price in a neutral and customer-friendly manner. When Jenn returned to the desk, the male employee inquired if the price was wrong, and Jenn mentioned that one item rang up at the sale price while the other did not, which was confusing for her. The male employee really seemed to want a moment of “ see we caught another one lying about prices.”
After the issue was resolved, I shared my feedback with the person who assisted with the price adjustment and a loss prevention staff member at the exit. I explained how the experience made me feel accused over a pricing issue and suggested that a more customer-friendly approach would have been to verify the price before assuming that the customer was lying. Assuming a neutral intent would be more palatable than the accusatory tone and body language I received from two employees.
Although the $6 difference was not a major concern for me, the experience impacted my perception of your store. When possible I will be choosing Walmart and Amazon over Target. I hope this feedback helps improve customer interactions and reinforces the importance of treating customers with respect. Perhaps a class on emotional intelligence and body language could be beneficial in raising awareness about non-verbal cues and their impact.
Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns. I trust that Target values customer feedback and will use it to enhance the...
Read moreTwo days before 88 rugged, battle-ready high school football players were scheduled to take the field at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium for the 74th annual North vs. South all-star game sponsored by South Carolina’s electric cooperatives, the teams took a break from football drills to practice something else – selfless acts of kindness.
At a Target store in Myrtle Beach, there were no opposing sides. No fierce game faces, just smiling players, who were teamed up with 44 delighted elementary students to help each one spend $150 on necessities first, and niceties second.
Each child was flanked by a player from the North team and another from the South team. The trios had one glorious hour to shop, so the players stood guard, ready to block offensive shoppers while their young companions scored pants, shoes, coats and even a few toys.
Half the budget was allotted to clothes, so the players also served as accountants, keeping the calculators on their cell phones busy. The children’s sizes were listed on a cheat sheet, so the goal was always in sight.
Boys and girls, some barely taller than the red Target shopping carts, were clearly in heaven. Shopping sprees with $150 to lavish on family, friends and themselves is a rare treat for most kids. Touchstone Energy Cooperatives picked up the tab while players helped the kids pick out new wardrobes and stay within their budgets. Some seemed to be having a better time...
