We were seated very promptly. Our drink order was taken quickly. The service from the waitress was impeccable. Our drinks were refilled very promptly and she kept checking on us. Once our order was placed we waited over 40 minutes for the food. Obviously, the kitchen staff is very slow and need to step it up. One would think the Manager would step up and help out. Obviously, that didn’t happen. Once we got the food, the small pizza was absolutely delicious. However, my partner in crime ordered a meatball sub and obviously, it was made well before the pizza was as his bread was soggy and meatballs were lukewarm. The tater tots were over cooked. I would not recommend this place unless you have time on your hands. The service and the pizza was great. The Sub and the kitchen staff, not so much and that is the reason for the 2 star rating. I have eaten at other very busy pizza joints and they certainly get the orders out much more quickly and all food is hot. I was disappointed in the turn around time once the order was placed. Should not have to wait 40 minutes for a pizza to come out of the oven. Lastly, when we came out, there were several cars waiting on pick up orders. One of the staff member came out and told the lady it was going to be another 5 to 7 minutes. She did not look happy. I’m guessing she had been waiting a bit for her pizza that was likely called in or...

I live outside Winston Salem, NC and have been to our Mellow Mushroom and the one in Durham. I have always enjoyed their pizzas and their vibe. Even busy they keep it moving and offer exceptional service.

That was NOT my experience at Myrtle Beach's location.

We ordered last night because we are staying just down the block in front of Broadway on the Beach. Our pickup time was 5:02pm, on purpose. We were hoping to avoid a dinner rush on a Friday night. It was almost 5:30 before the food was handed to me. Based on the fact our meatballs were cold and the cheese congealed, they sat in the window a while. They had one girl working takeout and answering the phone. I counted 20 tickets. Good for them. Bad for service. I really think I got my food because I went in a second time to ask for it.

Tonight, I should have known better, but I was still thinking about the M.M.'s in NC. I ordered a pizza around 3:45 pm online. I was given a 4:12 pickup time. It was 4:25 when I was handed a pizza box covered in grease and parmesan cheese, no receipt and no plates or napkins. I could see the staff horsing around, one young lady jumped on another man's back, cutting up. I've worked restaurants. This is remarkably unprofessional conduct. It's no wonder I'm receiving the kind of service I have over two days. Clearly management has no control or standards.

It will be quite some time before I want to return...

Great Vibes, Great Food – A Solid Lunch Spot!

Stopped in for a midday lunch at Mellow Mushroom here in Myrtle Beach with my son, and it was a win all around.

He ordered the buffalo wings, and let me just say, they were superb. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. They came beautifully plated with fresh celery and carrots, and he devoured every piece down to the bone. The ranch dressing was a hit too, creamy and a perfect match with the wings.

I went with the crystal pan cheese pizza and added ground beef, absolutely scrumptious. The crust had that perfect bite, the cheese was melty and rich, and the beef added just enough savory flavor without overpowering the pie. Real deal comfort food with flavor that sticks with you.

We were seated quickly, and even though it was midday, the spot wasn’t too busy — a peaceful vibe with a clean, cozy atmosphere. Everything felt well-kept and inviting. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive without hovering. No complaints at all, just good energy and great service.

Pricing was reasonable for the quality and portion size. Not overpriced, not skimpy. You get what you pay for, and in this case, it was worth every bite.

Overall, this was a pleasant experience. Whether you’re just passing through Myrtle Beach or live nearby, Mellow Mushroom is a solid go-to for lunch with good food, chill energy, and clean surroundings. We’ll...

Been here twice, first when it was full house around 6-7 o'clock pm and the other time about couple months later around 10-ish when there were barely any tables occupied. Service was a night and day comparison but it is understandable to me if there's a full house waiting times for food and service will pale in comparison to being there near closing time. Both times we had the large house special pizza which had their red pizza base sauce with mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, ham, bacon, mushrooms, black olives, tomatoes(I mean whole slices), green peppers, and onions then all topped with extra mozzarella which made most of the peppers and onions stay crunchy fresh. A pizza slice loaded like this any where else would easily flop down if picked up with one hand.. but not here! The crust has a thin golden brown outer layer nice and crunchy but nice and soft inside and not doughy either. We all agreed if we had a chance to eat here again we would - at the right time. We would also recommend this place for family and large groups as well because of their large tables I saw.
