As a family that's big on crafting, Michael's is absolutely essential for us. We visit Michael's for everything—shoe modding, costume design, art supplies, knick-knacks, gift bag fillers, cheap toys for the kids, craft supplies, tie-dye—you name it, Michael's has it. The variety and breadth of items available make it our one-stop shop for all our crafting needs.
The staff at Michael's are very well-informed, helpful, and friendly. I always make it a point to talk to them before starting any new project. Their expertise and willingness to help can turn any crafting idea into a successful project. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned crafter, their advice is invaluable.
One of the standout features of Michael's is the self-checkout lanes. These are a lifesaver, especially during the busy season when the store gets crowded. It speeds up the checkout process and makes the shopping experience much more pleasant.
The store itself is very clean, well-stocked, and clearly labeled. The intuitive layout makes it easy to find whatever you need quickly. Every aisle is organized in a way that makes sense, which is particularly helpful when you’re in a hurry or looking for something specific.
Honestly, we love Michael's so much that we wish there were more locations in the area. It’s such a fantastic resource for crafters that having more stores would only enhance our crafting experiences. Despite this, Michael's remains our go-to destination for all things crafty, and I highly recommend it to anyone with a passion...
Read moreUsually can find really good deals here, on things I go through a lot. I wish I caught the name of the lady who was running the register when I checked out though, because she was amazing! I have a tic disorder and they were acting up so I was really nervous, but she seemed unphased and just assured me it was okay. They've split checkout so cash is with someone on register, and card is self checkout. I had one of each transaction since i was shopping for another person as well, so i wanted to handle cash first. Then I was concerned about self checkout since my tics can cause me to throw things, but I was going to move down to free up the only cash check out but she let me do both my cash transaction and my card transaction with her. So great deals and great people, my favorite craft store. If they had more fabric options, it'd be the only one...
Read moreThis was a bad experience. I love Michael's as I crochet and love making glass windshield. I found what I wanted went to register to pay the cashier could not get her register to work after 5 tries although it did charge for my items I think 48 dollars but would not provide receipt so she called Mgr. Three arrived none of which knew how to print a history or fix the machine. Since they could not get a receipt they said I would have to pay again or return later or the next day to retrieve my items or receive my money back. I left because the situation was at this point upsetting me. I left and will no longer shop this Michael's in myrtle Beach. I did not return as I was very upset with them as it was such a bad experience. The mgrs there definitely need more training on...
