So it's my first time stopping by and I came by right after they opened when everyone else in the area has been open for 30-a hours already so they should be ready for a lunch rush since it's almost 11. Ordered nothing special just two 6$ 3 peice boxs. Here's my pros and cons if your considering stopping by from my first impression as of nov 19 2024 right after they grand opened recently:
Pros: -food was fine and spicy as I'd want, gravy was basically spiced water but I will say their apple pies are 10/10. staff was at least to me nice and polite and gave me updates as I waited. gave me a extra apple pie for free for the wait. -looked clean at least in my opinion -food was hot and fresh
Cons: - took literally 30 minutes from order placement to getting my order. Absolutely insane. again watery asf gravy. staff seems a bit messy with how they communicate with each other and don't seem to know what's going on, one almost gave us an extra drink. I didn't take it because we didn't need it but ngl that would a impacted the person behind me. in my opinion the 6$ box being without a drink and being 7$ after is a bit much for how little it is. -food taste is generally worse than going to Bojangles or the KFC near the ocean not even 5 minutes down the road near 10th Ave s. 4/5 it's fine.
Overall: it's fine? But the wait is insane and a big reason I wouldn't come back. The food is just mid and isn't my favorite, rather go to Bojangles or KFC in my opinion. For two 7$ (6$ meal deal + drink) and a apple pie spent 18 and change. Pretty expensive for me and my wife for how little it is. Read moreWe placed a mobile order at this location when it first opened. We arrived to pick it up, and they hadn't started on it yet. They were extremely busy. The lobby was full, and the parking lot was full. The manager on duty apologized and explained they had just opened and were still getting their "bearings". I appreciated his apology and that he acknowledged the excessive wait time. Nothing is worse than having crappy service and the employee/establishment doesn't even care or acknowledge it. We returned a couple of months later. Placed a mobile order again. Pick-up was quick, and the staff was friendly. We got home and discovered some of our ordered items missing. I called to speak to the manager to see if we could get some kind of credit back to our mobile account. Curtis, the GM was friendly and apologetic. He told me to come by, and that he would make it right. When I returned, Curtis was not there, but Leisa was. As soon as I walked in the door, the cashier greeted me and was smiling. Actually smiling. It didn't even seem fake or forced. The 2 women I spoke with (1 being Leisa) were so polite and friendly and understanding. I haven't experienced this at a fast-food establishment in so long. It was refreshing. Read moreThis is the 2nd time that we went to Popeyes and both times, they forgot all our biscuits and other parts of our meal. The first time we went, we ordered a big family meal and when we got home, we realized that they forgot all of our biscuits and a family size mac and cheese. They did not have a phone number at the time, so we were not about to drive all the way for our biscuits. So the next day, I went back to the store and spoke with the GM and they had to charge us AGAIN to issue a refund for the original order. After a week, not only were we charged for the original order, but charged for the 2nd order, and no refund was issued for either. It took over a month, with multiple visits to the establishment, calls/texts with management, and even talks with our bank before the refund was issued. That should have been my red flag to not return but we decided to give them another chance. Fast forward to yesterday, June 11th. We ordered a 10 PC with 2 sides and 5 biscuits online. I printed the receipt for my father so he should have no issue with the meal. Only for him to return home with the food and NO BISCUITS AGAIN and missing a drink.
