Wow...jus Wow!!! What a beautifully restored piece of history. We made a last minute reservation for a one night stop in Nashville. Lewis was a very gracious host and provided a tour of the entire property along with the story of how he and Connie aquired it and spent three years restoring it. We had originally booked a room in the Retreat House (mostly due to the lesser cost and we were only staying one quick night) however, after touring the main house Lewis offered to move us into the room of our choice as we were the only guests for the night. Each room is unique and luxurious but we chose the Turquoise Room which has an original sleeping porch turned into amazing bathroom with a wonderful soaking tub. So relaxing after an evening down on Broadway St. Lewis told us the history of how the early Nashville judicial court was held in the home and those found guilty were held in the basement under the east east wing and even allowed my (very curious) husband to go down and take a peek. The next morning we were met by Debbie, the assistant Inn Keeper, with a smile, coffee, and a wonderful breakfast. She sat with us and chatted over coffee, providing even more history of the area along with what the future growth plans for the property are. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the chain hotels when a property like this is available. IMMACULATELY CLEAN! Thank you Lewis, Connie, and staff. You have created something magical and should be very proud of it.
