I attended their booth at Harvest Homecoming this year. They have some really cute items - I picked out a pair of sunglasses and was ready to check out.
I walked up the woman working. Without a greeting or a “hold on one moment”, she grabbed her phone and began recording what I presume to be another worker and a girl. They began to record an interview where the other worker proceeded to ask the girl questions about prom dress shopping/dress picking.
I waited well over 5 minutes, probably close to 8 in total for them to finish.
After finally finishing their interview, my mom walked over instead, very frustrated over having to wait that entire time with no greeting or apology for the time spent.
My mom said, “we’re ready to check out” - “we’ve been waiting”. The woman that was behind the phone grabbed my mom’s money and provided her change. Again, no apology or greeting the entire interaction.
I nearly put the sunglasses down and walked out.
I understand wanting to gather content for your business, and I certainly wouldn’t have minded waiting if she was checking out another customer.
Moving forward, I’d recommend them to take care of paying customer’s before making them wait nearly 10 minutes for an interview start to finish of someone that wasn’t buying anything at the time.
In my opinion, paying customer’s should come before content creation.
The sunglasses are very cute though and that’s the only reason I didn’t...
Read moreThis is my daughter's first prom, we were excited to shop. She found her perfect dress, almost $1000! But we wanted her to have it. I put a $400 deposit down and told them I'd be back in a week to pay the rest and pick the dress up. I drive the 1hr40min trip to come pick the dress up just to be told it wasn't it the building. It was sent to have a hook put on it. I said that was fine, my bad for not calling first. I said I will be back March 12th yo pay n pick up the dress. Now I'm here, it took then 20 minutes to find the dress in the first place, the hook was never fixed even though it was sent away to be and now I'm sitting here watching 2 employees struggle with all their might to figure out a needle and thread while the actual lady in charge of doing it is in the back getting her eyebrows waxed. I've shielded my daughter from the disappointment of our service here but I have 4 daughters going to prom over the next few years and we...
Read moreWe traveled from Indianapolis to shop for a prom dress in Lousiville. My cousin that lives near House of Kay recommended we stop there first. I'm sure glad we did! We had planned on needing to go to a few stores before we found "The One" but House of Kay had exactly what we were looking for! This cute little store has hundreds of formal dresses for every occasion and you can buy many of them right off the rack! The sales associates helped my daughter with trying them on and were very knowledgeable about what would be the best style for my daughters body type. We were thrilled to find a gorgeous dress that didn't break the bank and were able to find perfect jewelry to go with it! The owner was super friendly as well. We couldn't have had a better experience! We'll definitely be back next year for my...
