As far as beer selection goes, this bar is top notch. If you're looking for craft beers, this is your place. Tons of options primarily from local New England breweries all top rated beers.
My 4/5 stars for the food is based on a few factors. First, we came on a Sunday and there was only a brunch menu, so I didn't really look at their entire offerings since they were limited to brunch at the time. Second, we only got the chicken strips, which were nice and crispy but a little small for the price. I actually LIKED the portion size on them, but not for the price tag.
Overall, I would definitely come back and try some other menu items to get a better idea of their food quality. 5/5 for beer though.
It was Sunday so they had the Pats game on, but there's a TouchTunes jukebox there for music.
Additional details that may help some people: Parking: No dedicated lot, but there are some nearby garages and paid street parking which is free all day on Sunday.
Accessibility: The main bar is on the ground floor, and so are the bathrooms, no stairs to get in. There is an upstairs though, I'm not sure what's up there, but it seems like stair access only.
Seating: There are about 15-20 seats at the bar downstairs + a few tables. Probably more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to the New Bedford Folk Festival and wanted to get a drink. First of all, the bartender didnāt acknowledge us, let us know it may be a few minutes, etc. Finally got our drinks after 15 minutes. We were never asked if we wanted another drink and then had to beg for the bill. The bartender proceeded to do other things after we asked for the bill, we tried to get help from who Iām assuming was the manager or owner and weāre told ādude, Iām not the bartenderā (he was behind the bar), finally got the bill and because we couldnāt wait to get out of this unfriendly, drab, non customer service friendly establishment, left a $4 tip on our $16 bill- he didnāt deserve a penny!!! I have honestly never received such poor service in my life. Another customer at the bar said it was painful as he was trying to order a drink. By the way, it wasnāt busy inside, but we were blatantly ignored. We went to the Black Whale for dinner and sat at the bar - that is why that place is so busy - the service was impeccable and we had a great experience. The staff at The Pour Farm Tavern could learn a thing or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent a few weeks ago, the bartender was so drunk behind the bar he couldnāt even get my tab straight. After he tried saying I didnāt pay and I produced a receipt from my pocket he seemed to get mad and called the bouncer. Instead of de-escalating the situation, the bouncer seemed it not only appropriate to defend the drunk bartender, but to also put hands on me (until I threatened legal action) and then later a woman! Management seems to have no oversight over the clowns theyāve hired or any idea what goes on in their establishment. I seemed to have been ābannedā (seemingly for paying my tab) by said drunk bartender and aggressive bouncer, but I have been back every night last week just to prove a point, so on top of drinking on the job the bartender and bouncer also seem to be incompetent š. Definitely wouldnāt recommend, my point is proven and I donāt really need to return for dry bbq, aggressive security and drunk...
