Green Bean — Restaurant in New Bedford

Ah! What would I have done without the Green bean! Since I purchased my house in New Bedford I have been going to the Green Bean very frequently. I don't have internet at home (yet) and the Green Bean is a welcoming place to sit down and have WebEx meetings, while having a terrific sandwich, great coffee, and very friendly and attentive staff to serve you. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars (even though I feel guilty about it) is because of the fact that they don't actively seek you if you order a cup of coffee and you seat down (not a huge deal). The other day I ordered a breakfast wrap that was excellent, and the guy that delivered it to me was very friendly, but my coffee was placed on the front counter (although I ordered them together), and it was basically being pushed around by other customers until I realized that it was there and proceeded to pick it up. It's their process I guess, but I think that it would make more sense to have both the items I ordered delivered to me at the same time. My husband and I are visiting from out of state and came down to the area to try this coffee shop, as it was recommended in a tour booklet in our hotel. We ordered an iced tea and a smoothie. There were several people in line behind us who also ordered smoothies. All of their smoothies were made and given out before my husband received his. When he went up to inquire, he politely said “Excuse me” to the woman making the smoothies, and she snapped at him that she was making his now. He said thank you and sat back down. She brought it over to us without an explanation or apology for why it was the last one made after several others were served first. Note: the women who received their smoothies before my husband were all white and my husband is not white. We will not...

I was having dinner at DNB Burger.. I finished up my burger and I walking around the building to use the bathroom.. I did not realize you needed a key to enter the bathroom. and I look over at the coffee shop and say oh can I grab the key from you.. and I was actually planning to go in for a coffee after dinner and some desserts for the misses..

And the girl looks at me and says paying customers only sorry..

I'm far from Rich but I'm far from broke and I have a lot of friends and when I like a place I talk about it all the time and I happen to tip very well but I guess they don't need my money and one look at me can tell you I'm not a homeless person looking to get high in the bathroom so unfortunately I never got to try this place and...
