Bank Street Theater — Attraction in New Milford

Had my daughters birthday party there. She has a great time, staff was friendly, room was clean, had a rectangular table set up for us with a tablecloth for cake and gifts. She had a good time. Now for the cost, we saw a currently showing movie which cost us $20 per person. For 12 kids that is $240. We then paid for a $50 after party so they could do cake and pizza. So you think $290? No! That is where you are wrong. You have to also pay for any parents that come with their kids so the 12 kids you originally invited doubles to 24 if each parent stays with their kids, now you are at $530 then add in birthday kids parents and you are at $570 which is outrageous! It can easily get out of hand. There should really be a limit like once you reach 25 people it’s a flat fee to rent out the theater🤷🏻‍♀️

Now for a comparison the cave in bethel for 12 kids has three tiers $300, $350, $450 flat fee nothing extra. And parents can stay for !

Jumps/thrillz in Danbury 11 kids is $415 and again parents can stay for free!!!

Most parents aren’t leaving their kids these days with strangers and most people want to stay. I even had a few parents come with their significant other and an extra kid. How do you tell them no?

In summation I don’t think we would have the party here again just because of cost vs fun we have been to both the cave and jumps for other kids parties and I think the kids just had a better time with more to do at both places.

If we brought our own movie the price per person drops to $15 so 12 people with the after party would have been $230 doubled for parents comes out to $410 still well within the price of the...

My partner and I went in excited to see the new spider man movie. I am black and my partner is white. Once we walked in there was a young man that looked to be cleaning. I say "hello" ...no answer. He said nothing. Just stared. We walk up to the counter to another young man. I say hello, how are you.....again nothing. Crickets. Just staring extra awkward. My partner had to cut the tension and asked to purchase our tickets. They only spoke to him. Once we got our tickets and went to the theater it was cold. I like this theater! A lot , the staff are young and courteous. The theaters are in light attendance so you can choose where you want to sit.. I like choosing seats on line, it keeps everything balanced.. this theater should offer that .what I find appalling, in New Milford, is people get up after the movie is over and walk out leaving their drink and popcorn for someone to clean up.. I hate that " they get paid to do that " mentality! Otherwise we keep to ourselves and let others...
