NOLA Staffing — Attraction in New Orleans

I just finished a consulting assignment with this staffing firm. I do not normally do reviews. But my experience with them, during the first assignment I did for them; deserves some praise. This NOLA start-up (by name only) DEFINITELY has solid human resource management capability, from the initial contact through assignment completion and follow-up. They actually LISTENED to what kind (and level) of work I was looking for. I am a senior manager (BPI included) that is no walk-in-the-park to engage. I am picky and I turn most assignments down. But Meredith and Ashley didn’t just do the status quo...’We only have these assignments to fill’...type of approach. They went to work. And they went out to find a fit. And they did! Both Meredith and Ashley are outstanding HR managers. They landed me a great 7-week project, with a very well-known NOLA company. In a very professional, comfortable setting; with great people to work with. I was VERY impressed with that. And when I mentioned above, them being a start-up by name only; it is because their businesses processes, from on boarding, through completion, are on-point and flawless. Everything worked exactly at it should work, no glitches or oversights. It is for these reasons, and for this initial experience, that I will continue to work with NOLA Staffing. And I highly recommend you do too. Because, they are a refreshing change (a Blue Ocean), in the highly competitive, mostly short-term commissions focused (Red Ocean) approach, that currently exists in the human resources...

It has been over 20 years since I've done a full rework/redesign of my resume. With so much experience in many niche roles, it's daunting to know what and how to list things so my skills and experience are easily recognized and relatable to positions I'm looking at. I have been stuck and asking friends to look it over has not been fruitful. Meredith and Ashley did more in 2 thirty minute sessions to rework and highlight me than I have in 30 personal/friend reworks of the resume.

It looks so good, I may just have to hire myself! ha!

ps. As an ADHD woman in her 40s, having people who know what they are doing take the lead on the executive function for making my resume shiny and new is the best support I can ask for in starting my next...

I got a call from them in April and did a phone interview, was told by someone named Ashley that I'd be contacted at the end of the week for an in person interview. Nothing. I reached out to her via email and phone calls and got no reply. I gave up. 7 months later I get a text from her saying there's a multitude of jobs I'd be great for. I reached out and have, again, heard nothing back. In this economy to be playing with people's emotions that way is just wrong. Avoid the disappointment and waste of your time and find another staffing/temp agency.

UPDATE: I posted this bad review and got a text within the hour. So I guess you have to cut up to get a response....
