I was contacted by a manager by the name of Michelle about my review. She asked me what had happen previously with our purchase from Kanes. As explained below in my original review ,.I explained what happened. She had the nerve to tell me she didn't believe me. We were given the leather conditioner when we purchased the couch , which we wouldn't know wasn't how its normally done as we had never bought a "leather" couch from them previously. We used the leather conditioner on the couch like we were instructed . The couch peeling was probably from the leather conditioner she said because the couch wasnt leather . I said to her that doesnt make sense because our loveseat , which I have pictures of , didnt peel or crack. She then said , I'm lying and now my story is escalating. I told her again that's fine if she doesnt believe me , I didnt keep going to Kanes trying to get anything from them after the first contact about our peeling couch over a year ago. They are the ones who reached out to me after my review. I even told her she could see we were just there on 02/01/2020 and we purchased a replacement couch without asking for anything in return. She acknowledged that there was an issue when we went in and the salesman tried to sell us yet another fake leather couch when we asked specifically for leather. He got upset and walked away and the very helpful manager Chris had.another salesman help us. Make sure you are 100000% sure you are purchasing what you think you are. She had the nerve to say , well , you purchased the warranty that's for a fabric couch. I told her if she looks at the order , you can see it doesnt actually say fabric warranty, it has a code so how would we know it was a fabric warranty? The whole conversation was a waste of time and she called just to blame me and accuse me .
We went to this location and told the sales lady Holly we were looking for a leather couch. We purchased what we were told is a leather couch set and warranty for almost $4,000.00 almost 2 years ago. The couch started to peel we contacted them to find out the couch we purchased wasnt leather and it wasnt covered by the warranty as well. Why would we purchased a warranty for a couch that it wouldnt cover the couch anyways? We were lied to to make a sale . I will never purchase anything from them again or recommend the To anyone. Bought a new home thatd 5 bedrooms and we completely refurbished our whole home with Kanes.
Update: so they say for me to give them my order number , but theres no way to respond to their reply. I see many other complaints as mine , we were told the couch was leather andit indeed was not leather and wasnt covered the by warranty we purchased. Why offer a warranty that wont cover this material in the first place? They dont give me who I need to contact there , just a bs response that I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe absolute most ridiculous experience Iāve ever had trying to get a business to engage in the simple delivery of a transaction. Things are going to go wrong. Store people are going to promise you certain things are going to happen, but no one else will have a clue what is going on and it will all be nonsense. Customer service is centralized and completely disconnected from the store. You will waste time convincing a customer service rep that you need to talk to someone at the store and then whoever answers the phone at the store that you need to talk to the person that you have been speaking with. Basically, you are going to pay them so that you can waste your time with a bunch of people that make you promises they have no authority to make. You wonāt get your money back either until you act like an absolute lunatic. Whoever responds to this post if you even suggest you are sorry and I should call, I will actually lose my mind. Calling is a joke. Service is a farce. Save yourself the trouble. No one there has any idea how anything works of how to fix it when things go wrong.
My story is below:
Bought several things from them the second week of October. While we were finishing the purchase the sales guy, Candido said āthe table wonāt be delivered until the end of the month, is that ok?ā Since we were buying the set to accommodate family for Thanksgiving I asked him to specify which month. He said āTHIS month.ā All furniture gets delivered except the table. I dont think too much of it because the sales guy said it would be separate/delayed. I called back to schedule the delivery and was advised not until the end of DECEMBER. Michelle Gomez calls back and tells me they will make accommodations. We can come get the floor model and they will replace it with the one I ordered when it arrives. We show up and no one has any CLUE what weāre talking about. Send my husband out with a damaged table and advise him not to cause any damage or we will have to keep it. I sent him back to return it. Magically⦠Michelle can never be reached again. Hella from the store calls back, They say they probably have a different replacement. Keep in mind each of these things is after SEVERAL calls back and forth. Show up to look at the replacement. No WAY. A table that looks like it belongs in a strippers champagne room. I tell them to come and get the furniture I want a refund. They pick it up. I donāt hear ANYTHING about a refund. They picked my furniture up on 11/15. After MANY calls, I am told Iām getting a store credit. So completely tone deaf. What would I do with a store credit from a place that jacked me around like this? I didnāt get my money back until 12/8ā¦.AFTER I reported...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!!! THEY LIE AND SCAM TO MAKE SALES! Found a couch and loveseat set that I loved and was in my price range, they told me it wouldnt be in stock for over a month. I just moved here and waiting for my moving truck so I needed a couch asap. I decided not to go with that couch because of the waiting time. So Katherine Clark, our sales representative, PROMISED me that a different set I was eyeing would be able to have 1 of the pieces available in 6 days and could be delivered 3-5 days after that so that I would have something to sit on in my empty home while I wait for my moving truck. She seemed to understand how desperate we were to have any piece of furniture within the next week or so. So we made the purchase that was over $1600. We called on the 3rd and was told our set would be delivered on the 22nd. Obviously that was unacceptable as we were PROMISED to have the recliner between the 3rd and 5th. We went to the store to speak to a manager. Kristofer Goetz, the general manager, could not fix the problem or resolve the inconvenience with a partial refund. He offered a $50 discount on my next purchase after I told him I would not be doing business with them again. He was rude and did not seem to think it was an issue, did not appologize or care about how upset I was that I've been waiting a week for a couch that I wasn't going to get any time soon. I explained to him that if they were honest with me I would have purchased a couch somewhere else. But obviously he lied and said nothing is ever guaranteed here and told me any other place I go to will be the same. I believe he was lying to me the whole time because Katherine came and looked at his computer screen and said "yes see, it was here but someone took it" and he quickly tried to deny that after I made a comment. I ended up getting a refund on everything and asked how they were going to make amends for this extreme inconvenience, and he completely ignored me, printed out my return receipt, and said your good to go. I had to ask him for a phone number for customer service to make a complaint and told him I would be reporting him for lying and extremely poor customer service. He didnt care at all. These people are super rude and only care about getting your money during a world crisis because they are desperate for sales, then turn around and say that this pandemic is the reason they cant get orders on time. Its BS! DONT...
