👉 Epic and epically hidden slide nestled away like a secret treasure, it beckons adventure seekers of all ages. Here’s why it’s a hit with kids and parents alike. Imagine stumbling upon a hidden passage in a magical forest, concrete jungle. That’s the feeling this slide evokes. Its unassuming appearance conceals a thrilling descent—a rollercoaster ride in miniature. Our children’s eyes widen with delight as they discover the slide’s existence. Their laughter echoes through the air as they take turns sliding down, their imaginations soaring. Kids-approved! The park becomes a canvas for their game of hide and seek, a haven. The slide is a whimsical journey. Each descent is a mini-adventure of fear and adrenaline.

Ah, the delicate balance! While the slide captivates the kids, we play park sentinels.

So, next time you visit, embrace the magic of The Slide. It’s not just a piece of playground equipment, it’s a portal to wonder....

Nice little park in a a slightly hidden area with the second most dangerous slide in Manhattan. Unlike Chelsea Waterside Park where there is risk of traumatic head injury, the danger at the huge slide at this park is more likely scrapes, parental heart attacks and possibly an unlucky broken bone. The slide is built on a cliff and is 2 stories tall, which would be fine since the coefficient of friction of child on slide is relatively high. However, there is a small water element near the top of the slide, and kids invariably pour water down the slide, speeding up the ride so that they can’t stop and launch off the end into the sand trap like human cannonballs. There is also a sandbox and play area for smaller children which is usually empty since it’s nowhere near as fun as watching or becoming a living projectile. There are also some walking paths and a...

Beautifully designed small space. Native plants draw interesting birds and butterflies along twisting paths. Amazing stone works. An old review said there's "not enough to do here." Frankly, interacting with real nature is doing something important.

The well maintained park has been around long enough that the plantings are mature. It's awesome that the original concept is still being...
