Body Glow Spa — Attraction in New York

This place is beautiful but the service is pissed poor!!! My review is based on the massage service I have received here. One thing I hate is bringing a person's business down being a regular reviewer but this experience pushed me to give a one star. I should have known better and read into the reviews left about the massage service experienced here as it all relates to what I have experienced as a customer.. As a person who constantly gets massages elsewhere I was beyond disappointment with the service I received here. My best friend and I booked an "hour" Swedish massage. Upon arriving we were very impressed at how beautiful this spa was - the aesthetics were pleasing mind you this was a major contributing factor as to why we decided to go here also because of how clean it was. As mentioned we went to get an hour massage - This is how it went: Our massage started at 11:21 am , during the massage there was more oil than the actual massage - it was more of an inconsistent rub more than an actual relaxing massage! The rub didn't even target the pressure points i needed it to, which I had stated on the form I filled out! My best friend and I agreed on this statement! Around 12:00 pm they laid a warm towel on our bodies : that lasted for like 10 mins until it got soo cold then I realized that the attendants weren't coming back to us so I got up and then shortly after one of the attending ladies came and took off the towel and said that was it - we we're done. I was left in awe as to how a 60 mins massage turned into an oily "rub" that only lasted for for roughly 40 mins with a towel laid on our bodies for 10 mins that grew very cold ?? I confronted the person at the front desk and all she said was that her manager would reach out to me. Beware: This place is beautiful but the massage service is...

I’m not one to be picky but O M G!!! The most horrible, uneducated, confusing, lack of knowledge this place was filled with left me freezing cold and incredibly unhappy, frustrated and irritated. I wanted to jump off the table and just run home.

1 freezing cold towels left on top of me while she left the room.

2 Do not speak English so they don’t understand a word your saying in the room (they speak Spanish)

3 freezing room, they do not cover you with the white sheets as they massage so I was extremely cold/freezing. ( and your naked)

4 Expensive $$$$$

5 The ladies trained do not know how to properly massage according to what you buy, I got a deep tissue massage and she was doing a relaxing massage, after I realize she sent in another lady to do just my back. It was a full body deep tissue massage, so waiting and waiting time is passing. I basically got ripped off.

6 No refund, no compensation, no discount for the miscommunication nothing. They just take your money and you get what you get.

7 looks fancy and expensive on the outside but the actually treatment was terrible.

At the end of the day I’m an easy person to deal with but today left me with some kind of PTSD when it comes to massage spas. I have been getting massages done for years. I just decided to give them a try because they were new.

I am not settling until I get some kind of compensation for this harassment, I could have easily went somewhere else.

So again, do not book here, there are so many nice spots out there!

I’m so happy I came to this spa! I would rate it 100 stars if I could. The atmosphere is beautiful very calming when you walk in and smells great. I’m always greeted with smiles when I walk in. They have healthy complimentary snacks and tea for you when you get in. Definitely makes you feel like a celebrity 😂😂 Shoutout to the ladies at the front desk, CHANEL, NOEMI, & MANUELA!!! You ladies are the best, always positive and smiling when I walk in. They do their absolute best providing you with the service that’s best for you! Thank you ladies once again! Since I’ve came I’ve always got my massages done by LISS!! I love her so much, she definitely knows what she’s doing and always recommend the greatest for me. I can tell that she cares for her clients and only wants the best for them. She takes her time and treats you with the upmost care. She’s so friendly, and always smiling! I’ve definitely created a bond with her. I would recommend this spa to ANY & EVERYONE. I live in Brooklyn and would travel here anytime!! Definitely worth every penny. Also they have great sales so definitely take advantage of those!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH BODY GLOW SPA!!! ❤️❤️ I Love You...
