I recently had the pleasure of attending the Brooklyn Magic Shop's 6-week adult magic program, and it was an absolute delight. Led by the fantastic instructor, Daniel, the class provided a unique and robust introduction to close-up magic. The intimate setting with just 5 other adults fostered a friendly and collegial environment, making the entire experience not only educational but also incredibly enjoyable. Throughout the course, we delved into the foundations of close-up magic, mastering misdirection using the eyes, body, and voice. Daniel skillfully guided us through classical sleight-of-hand concepts involving coins, cards, and everyday objects. The emphasis on character development, scripting, and structural phasing added a layer of depth to the magical journey. I appreciated the inclusive nature of the class, making it accessible to everyone, regardless of their skill level. My partner and I had the best time. We booked the Magic Date Night (option B) that included just a private magic show. Coordinating this experience was such an easy task, very prompt and detailed responses. As for the show, it was such a treat. Magician Daniel Morales combined mentalism with close up magic and created such a magically fun time (so much so that my stoic partner was visibly enthralled and entertained). Daniel does a fantastic job in leaving you thinking "how the hell did he do that?!"; his show is very entertaining and his take on some classic magic tricks is very refreshing and engaging. You even get to leave with souvenirs to remember the experience. This was by far one of the best dates my partner and I have been on and will 100% be booking again. My background is Physics so I love Magics as it always challenges our logical thinking, and admire the Magicians’ creativity.
Yesterday, I had a chance to visit this Shop and watched a show for families with children, and it’s very good. The environment is cozy, and friendly.
Both the magician - Daniel - and his wife are very nice. I came from NJ and it’s worthwhile visiting the shop, watching the show. Even better that I learnt few Magics tricks, not very hard to perform and “portable” , which will definitely entertain my family and friends on occasions.
