Zombie Hut — Restaurant in New York

We came in on a very slow Tuesday night, around 8 pm. I explained to the bartender that I was interested in tiki drinks and worked at a bar/brewery and was hoping to try a fun tiki drink with ingredients you can’t find in just any bar. He proceeded to tell me he can probably make a “fun drink” (yes, he used air quotes). The drink he recommended was the Gillian, rum, vodka, and OJ. I questioned him but he insisted it was the best on the menu, so I agreed. Needless to say, it was exactly as it stated. It was very clearly made with all service well ingredients any bar has within arms reach. I was super disappointed, as there were clearly many more exciting things on the menu. I could see why it would be annoying to receive requests like this if it were busy, but when the bar is dead and I was just looking for a good recommendation, why purposefully dissatisfy a customer? Maybe don’t work at specifically a tiki bar if you’re against making...

After walking into the "Zombie Hut" instantly you can see where the "Hut" from its namesake came from. A teak and bamboo aesthetic theme continues from the front door on Smith St all the way to the ample back yard in the rear of the bar. The night that I visited, the bar was packed, and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Largely after spending the night with a large group, I honestly think most will be satisfied with the Zombie Hut, the bartenders are attentive and very nice, there's TV's for the Sports Fan, there's a busy bar for those that enjoy mingling with/meeting different people and there's a spacious backyard with couches for those that would enjoy more quiet conversation over...

They openly let a 19 year old kid drink and I had to hear him brag about it. Horrible establishment, how about you seize their liquor license, because they clearly don't know how to manage a bar.

Edit: They can't even be mature with a response, that's fine, when the business closes down because they can't legally maintain a business and they let their rude customers in, the police will handle it. Keep it going guys, you're doing an awful job.

Edit 2: You mean the exact group that I'm complaining about? Like I said, fantastic job, now I get an accusal too. I hope no one falls for your terrible business practices and they pick a better bar, like the many others that actually care about them along...
