Bravo! Mercado Central stepped into heavy foodie territory when it opened mere blocks from the likes of legends like Paisanos and Staubitz. I am Happy to report they have succeeded and in doing so lifted the whole community up by adding one more world class imported Nationality retail food outfit to a world Class list in Cobble Hill! They filled a glaring cuisine gap in the neighborhood. I mean let’s all take advantage of what NY offers which is everything! Zhanna is a doll, super bubbly personality, knows everything about the Catalan region and stocks everything direct from Spain. The tuna sandwich is really good. They also have anchovy stuffed olives which is basically impossible to find anywhere else. All their products are imported from Spain.
