I had a very nice experience dining here ๐Ÿ˜€. This thai spot was truly very cozy/comfortable, and the food was very good too! The servers were all so nice and friendly making me feel very welcomed. It was very interesting to learn that they have been in business for 10 years now and it seems like it is family owned & run restaurant. Some of their recipes are family recipes too, so I want to say that their food is authentic Thai food ๐Ÿ‘Œ. Their menu includes a good amount of the common thai dishes like pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, fried rice and the curries. I went and tried this stir-fry noodles that was a little different from what you usually see. I got the garlic noodles ๐Ÿ˜€, which was actually teally good. The flat noodles were cooked perfectly and it was very well flavored too! Other than that I also got their garlic fried Snapper, which is a fried whole Snapper fish paired with their family recipe garlic sauce ๐Ÿ‘Œ. This dish was also very flavorful and well-cooked. In addition to these two entrees dishes, I also got the crispy thai dumplings and the duck roll as appetizers. One thing that I wanted to try but didn't get the chance to was their crab fried rice! (Definitely coming back for it ๐Ÿ™ˆ). Lastly, their drinks and desserts are pretty yummy too. They have some interesting cocktails like the siam mule, which is Vodka, Fresh Ginger, Coconut Cream, Basil Leaves, Lime. (We also tried another cocktail too... but I forgot the name of it ๐Ÿ˜….) For dessert, we ended on the mango mousse cake. This cake was very light and creamy making a great dessert after a very filling meal ๐Ÿ˜†. Overall, I highly recommend trying this thai spot when deciding on food in this area ๐Ÿ‘Œ

I stopped by Thaism around 3:15pm on a Wednesday since I had business in the area. Their lunch special runs until 4pm, and it's a great deal! I was the only person in the restaurant the entire time. The ceiling is decked out with hanging orchids, which gives the space a nice aesthetic. The restaurant seats around 25 people, so it is on the smaller side. The in-person lunch special is $12.95, and it comes with soup or salad and one side. That is a rare steal these days! I ordered pad see ew with salad and the chive pancake. I enjoyed the peanut dressing that came with the salad, but I hate raw onions and had to pick those out. For the chive pancake, the inside of the pancake was a soggy texture. I prefer to have the crispy texture throughout. I also felt like the pancake needed more seasoning. I typically enjoy this without sauce but I needed the soy sauce because it was bland. The pad see ew sauce tasted like pad thai sauce instead of black bean sauce. My first bite was also heavy on the fish sauce! I like pad thai sauce, so I thought the dish was fine, but just a heads up for people who aren't a fan of fish sauce. I had my water refilled and got checked in on, so service was nice. Overall, there were some flavor misses that won't make this my favorite Thai restaurant in Brooklyn. However, I think the deal is great, so if you are in the area for lunch, check out Thaism!

Yesterday, I had a little shorter day and got out when the sun was still up. ๐Ÿ˜€. Gogglizing the area, Thaism Restaurant came up with some glowing reviews. Ok, who am I to resist. As my stomach was singing the โ€œfeed me already songโ€. I ordered the appetizer; Butterfly Coconut Shrimp ๐Ÿฆ. Me and my stomach were happier now so the Tom Kha followed. Now that we both felt better, came the big decision: what sould I order next? ๐Ÿค”. Spicy Basil? Cashew Nut? Massaman Curry Avocado? The choices were many and each more tempting then the other ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ. Finally I made the bold move. Green Curry. ๐Ÿ˜. I liked the dish, it was well balanced, loaded with actual Thai eggplants. Bamboo shoots and basil. The serving was generous. The servers were attentive, smiling, happyโ€ฆ I had a great meal ๐Ÿ˜Š. . . .

If you like CREDIT CARD FRAUD, this is the place to get Thai food! I ordered some delivery Thai this evening from this joint; in the online order form on my wife's computer, I specified that I wanted onions added to the dish. It came 45 minutes later, and the delivery person demanded $4 extra for the onions - although the restaurant never called me to authorize this. You read that correctly - FOUR dollars for about a quarter of a medium sized onion! Which I never authorized! I still tipped the delivery guy - not his fault - but I refused to fork over the additional $4 in cash. A few hours later, my wife noticed that her card - which was on file with Thaism - was charged $4 by this shady restaurant! I suppose they reckon that they can charge whatever they want, post facto, without checking first to see if I'd be willing to pay (I would never pay $4 for onions) - but this is totally unacceptable. My wife is dealing with them through the fraud department at her bank, and I'm furious that this is butting into our evening. Avoid this place, or if you must eat here (instead of at one of the delicious alternatives in the neighborhood) - pay cash! Otherwise, they might just charge you whatever they feel like for any special request, without legal...
