I am having a very unpleasant experience with Citywide Ford right-now!!! One issue is communication, the other is dishonesty and the other is faulty work. Three days in now and the original issue I bought it here for, is still an issue. Although they’ve told me it would be fixed. More to come.
The details
I went to Citywide Ford service facility for a passenger door faulty switch. I asked the service writer to check for recalls on the vehicle, he did. And found the issues was a recall issue and it was “repaired”. They call me and say the car is ready, I go back to pickup my car and now there’s a check engine light on, which was not on when I dropped off the car. Now I’m at $60 in Uber back and forth. The service writer, Lied and said he told me about the light being on. (I would not have spent $60 to go to the dealer just to say fix it.) I would have had it checked/ repaired without making a useless trip! And as I checked the original repair, it was not complete. I tell them to proceed with the additional repair.
Then I get a call that the car is ready and the cost is $1,600! I ask the service Director if he could make a consideration on the bill due to the previous wasted trip. He starts complaining about his customers and adds me to the list of “pain in the ass” customers and refuses to give any consideration for his lying representative. I pay the bill and begin to check my vehicle and find the original issue is still present!
Passenger door latch assembly which no longer allows the vehicle security system to work nor does the remote start work. The service Director essentially had nothing to say about the issue. The service writer takes the car back to the mechanic who worked on the issue and they bypassed a hood sensor to make the remote start work again. They seem to have broken my hood sensor and instead of replacing it, they send me to their parts department.

It is now 3 days later and the passenger door latch issue is back. The alarm goes off for no reason and the remote-start has stopped working again. I now have to leave my vehicle unlocked or the alarm will go off regularly. Passenger door open indicator stays on when door is closed. Citywide is currently the closes Ford dealer to me. I will take the time to find a different Ford dealer with a better service department. After I make all of their management and ownership aware...
Read moreI took my vehicle in on 1/10/24 to be checked out because it had been making a loud hollow sound each time I was in reverse. I had an appointment and arrived early. I explained to one of the supervisors (Manny) what the problem was. About 45 minutes to and hour later, Manny came back to me as I was sitting in the waiting area to tell me they did not find anything wrong with the car, confirmed that the MPI was performed, and that HE personally drove the car himself and did not hear any noise. I reiterated that the noise only occurs when backing up, to which he said he did not hear anything even when backing up. He told me if I continue to hear the noise after I leave with the car, then I can bring it back in. I told him I would take it to my personal mechanic for a "second opinion" and he said "okay". While I was being escorted back to my car by one of the technicians, the tech told me my car was not looked at, and that Manny did not drive the car as he stated. I agreed with this person because I told him I saw Manny sitting at his desk for the majority of the time I was sitting in their waiting area. On 1/11/24, I received an email and a text from the service department telling me they were sorry I missed my appointment yesterday. What?!? I took my car to my mechanic later that morning also on 1/11/24, where they performed the MPI. Imagine my surprise when I was told my rear struts are damaged and that this would have been noticed immediately upon performing the MPI. My mechanic also told me he heard the same hollow sound as soon as he started driving the car and put it in reverse. Folks, stay away from City World Ford Service and Parts department at this location!! This is not the first time I had an unpleasant experience here, but it will be the LAST time I bring my vehicle there to get serviced. I also contacted the Ford Customer Relations Department regarding this matter, and my mechanic is planning to complete the work on my vehicle to fix...
Read moreWhat can I say about this place ?! I’ve been here on more than occasion and it can be a hit or miss although I usually have to miss before I get a hit ! At this point I get anxiety just thinking of having to go to this service center because of the extremely poor customer service. For one I have dropped my car off at this service center and have been basically been left for dead when I try to call the service center and get in contact with somebody who will call me back for any update . I would call the service center number and the secretary or whomever answers the calls always asks for your name and number only for you to have to continuously have to call to get any type of answer (even if it’s a rude one). So, my last visit here was with a ford representative by the name of Miguel who seemed like a descent representative until I called the service center and spoke to an “OLGA” who asked for my name and number only for me to have to call three hours later and still not get a response. Finally , when I speak with “Miguel” he is rude and tells me that there have been cars at this service center for two weeks. I then proceeded to call ford directly and file a complaint for the poor customer service. I was being told that my car was probably not going to be even looked at the day I dropped it off (mind you I was literally the first person at this service center with a scheduled appointment for the issue I input into the system). After , I made the complaint and called ford directly, coincidentally I get a call at 4:20 p.m. saying that my car was diagnosed and that it was good to go . I still don’t think they actually checked it thoroughly which is why I’m going to get it checked somewhere else. I have issues in the past with this service center , but I’m done going here despite the convenience of it being so close to...
