This Store imparticular has a very welcoming appeal to it from the moment you walk in. It's a Supermarket, with a Wholesome, Casual ambiance. The walls are painted a calming color Green, the floors are either Wood, or some other material used to give it the appearance of Wood... the shelves are full, and they are high, which is another nice aspect to the design at this Store... and just because they're high shelves doesn't mean that the items are unobtainable, there's more than enough of that product within reach unlike some other Supermarkets where I've had to climb up to get something from the top shelf which at 5'8", I can usually reach, but it's dangerous when you have to do that, however, I don't often see many employees on the floor to accommodate me. I am not blaming ANY EMPLOYEE... I put that all on the EMPLOYER! There are a few stores like C-Town on Clove Rd. that I've come across, and liked my experience, but there's just something a little bit more special about this one that makes me want to shop there, and besides the Staff as well as the Management, who are all very accomodating and pleasant every time I've been there, their Weekly Sales are just as good as anyone else's. I'm not one who LOVES to go grocery shopping and compare circulars by no means... But I will say, that this Market doesn't deter me from sometimes having to do so, simply because of the people who work there, and the Ambience as I already mentioned. It doesn't have that big, lit up, commercial feel to it that reminds you of where you are and what you're there for, cause I'd rather be anywhere else than a grocery store, it's a Market that sells the Products that are needed at good prices, and weekly sales... and I choose to shop there because of its " Simplicity "!!! Nothing More and...
Read moreThis C Town practices class discrimination. They offer discounts to the elderly which is great. They offer discounts specifically to nypd & fdny BUT not disabled people who, like seniors, are low income and unable to work and could use a helping hand. I spoke roughly one month ago with store management about this. The manager I spoke with was not knowledgeable and came across as though he did not want to talk about this and he hung up on me. I called back and asked him if we were disconnected or if he hung up on me...he said he hung up on me because he thought he heard me say goodbye. I was not aware asking him about this policy sounded like goodbye. I then asked him for corporate contact information...he did not know how to contact corporate. I researched and contacted corporate. Spoke to a very nice very professional lady who said she would place me in contact with her colleague who handles issues like this. The following week I spoke to a very nice very professional gentleman and explained my position on this matter. He told me he would contact the store then get back in touch with me. It has been two weeks...I have not heard back from him or anyone else...
Read moreHad the worst check out girl ever! I politely greeted her as she never said anything to me. I reasonably asked for assistance with understanding the sale pricing. She pointed to the screen as if I worked there and could understand a monitor; indeed, she's familiar with as an employee. When I asked again, she repeated the same gesture as I was confused by the multiple numbers on the screen and wanted a further explanation. Then I watched as she aggressively threw my items into a bag; when I asked additional questions about pricing, she began to speak over me as if I was done talking. I then asked what her issue was and why she was so rude and pleaded that sheâd stop speaking to me as she continued to speak over me. I am frequently shopping at this location, and this is the second time she's had this obscene attitude. All the other check out people are usually very friendly and always helpful. I'm far from a confrontational person, and it seemed like she was purposely passive-aggressive to customers for absolutely no reason, which is disappointing and a poor reflection of this...
