They're one of the larger grocery stores in the area and so have one of the larger selections. However, lots of items I checked were expired (some as much as over a month ago). They say they get shipments every Monday, yet I called them out when I'd found 1) the same two bread loaves of a particular brand were the same ones (same expirations and flavors) I'd found a week ago (no new shipments of those), and 2) the same packages of a particular vegan cheese (of which they don't have a big selection at all) that were set to expire a few days after I went a week ago and are now outright expired.
I also noticed some cereals still advertising the last Jurassic World movie (which came out almost a year ago) that sure enough had long since expired sitting first in line on the shelves.
Like others have said, this place will in general satisfy your basic needs (better than the typical corner store), but there's nothing really special about it. If there were a comparable place in the area that had less expired items, I'd likely go there, even if it were a little...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere is no sense of customer service on this c-town supermarket and lots of their products are expired and vegetables and fruits are old. The managers are nasty, confrontational, and threatening. Most of the products that are on sale, get charged regular price, once I get home and realize that I have been over charged, I have to go back to get a refund which is a great hustle and even worse, they don't want to issue a refund, and instead of apologizing, the managers become very agressive, confrontational, and even one of them has been very threatening to me and was about to hit me, but a cashier register got in the middle and saved me from being assaulted. Most of their employees are very unhappy and unhelpful. Nasty experience as an overall. I don't highly recommend this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExtremely expensive!!! Poor costumer service except for the young lady cashier. So if you ever need to do groceries I would suggest you go to the Trade Fair supermarket by the 30th Avenue subway stop. Unless is an emergency and quick ok you have no choice but Iād rather to save my money and go somewhere else. I donāt understand how the increase the price for every single product. Attention management: this is a big franchise and you guys should low the costs of products and hire friendly staff. The white guy with red hair is so nasty and rude. He treats you like if you are going there for free. So bad aptitude!!!+ I cannot stop counting the amount of expired food, products that this store sells!! NYC department of health should come and audit this.!!! This...
