So I'm normally pretty easy to please with places, but the only actual thing I liked about this playground was how close it was from one of the entrances to Central Park. Being from California and visiting New York for the first time, I was pretty sad to experience this playground like we did. One of the kids got a whole bunch of sand in my son's eye, and we ran out of water trying to get it out. My husband ran to the water fountain for more (wasn't working) and then walked out to find a bathroom. No where near us at all. Thankfully another witness gave him her water bottle to help. But the fact that it's a playground for kids and there's no bathrooms near by is a pretty big bummer to me. For potty emergencies for the Littles and in cases like this where we needed water for my sons eyes. The playground itself was decent, but even my kids said they've enjoyed better elsewhere. My kid likes to go barefooted on the sand, but then ends up running barefooted on hard asphalt.
There are no restrooms. There is plenty of shade.
